I doubt that's the primary reason the National Guard was called. I don't think they'll be pulling over every driver they see on the road. They'll likely be looking more to protect businesses from looting and that sort of thing

I'm glad one person remembers when that bitch, Nancy Pelosi said, "we have to pass it to find out what's in it" (as she smiled and laughed), regarding Obama care. Let's see the house passes a bill, it goes to the Senate, the senate passes their version and the two get together and compromise, then they vote on the final bill, both the house and Senate then pass the final bill, it goes to President to be signed into law, he can sign or veto. I'm real sure this is how it works, It is safe to say, until they house and Senate get together and work out the compromise bill, we have nothing but two starting positions, both with things they know won't pass muster, but rather a negotiating point.

Not even that, just helping with decontamination, delivery of supplies, many of the Guard are Medical professionals, in the Guard and in their civilian job. When it comes to looting and crimes of this nature, NYPD can handle that, they can give the criminals a ticket, or take them to jail, and give them a court date-then let them go-remember no bail in NY, just catch and release (over and over again), nothing like dems running things.

This stupid statement is as accurate as saying, "100,000 govt employees will lose their jobs during their mandatory trip to Mars." BTW a Depression is a economic down turn that lasts for YEARS, not a few weeks. God must love fools, as he has made a lot of them, it's just sad they all turn up here.

You can’t shut down the country for weeks maybe months and just expect everything to go back to normal after, it’s doesn’t work that way

I’m one of those increased risk boomers that everybody wants staying at home, so I am, along with the supplies I bought really early on including the precious TP.

I knew there would be way to many idiots out there running amuck and spreading this crap everywhere for my comfort level.

You sir are 1000% correct. But if you shut it down for a few weeks, does that make it a Depression? Answer: NO, unless the shutdown also magically changed the definition of a Depression. It won't turn the country into a Big Red Fire Truck, unless of course during the shut down the definition has changed. After next week, we will be in the second week, you're getting way ahead of yourself here when you say "maybe months" why not years? I'll be shocked if the 15 day stand down for the health needs of the country, goes longer than that across the entire country. I'm guessing next week, the new medications will treat those infected-very well, the death rate will plunge as more testing is done. Most of the Red Chinese Bat Soup Virus is in NY, CA and WA. The rest of country isn't seeing "mass deaths", and btw, NY, CA and WA are not seeing "mass deaths" either. We have lost far more people from the flu. The dems are beside themselves, they hope for a Terrible recession, and huge numbers of Americans falling over dead from the virus-and they just don't care, as long as it will help them get back in to power.

I hope economics doesn't matter. China's markets are losing half what we are, and they've tapered off. As this article stated, maybe China becomes the country of stability why we reel. Remember that time China supported Khmer Rouge who went on to commit genocide. Policies have implications. Don't rely on doctors to see the whole picture here.

on a serious note, I hope they can continue the barge traffic into Hawaii at a somewhat normal pace or things are going to get rough there with a quickness after current inventories are depleted. There are already empty shelves happening.
