I still think it's unbelievable that somewhere we didn't have a reasonable stockpile of protective equipment. I mean, I get the cost of the ventilators and how stockpiling those would lead to problems of obsolescence. However, we've heard about chemical and biological warfare for years (not saying this is either on the part of China or anyone else), and I don't understand this country not having basic protective gear. That's not on Trump either. It goes way further back than that.
I've been a little behind on the news conference... but did Trump just suggest that his "kids' company" needs a bailout?
No you don’t. The gov strong arming commerce is not a good thing. I’m going to guess 99.9999% of any company contacted by a simple request will reply “of course, happy to help. What can we do to help you”Then I encourage threatening it.
I just wish our men and women in the house and Senate could put politics and policy aside for a few weeks to work together to help the American people. But right now we have a few on both sides of the aisle acting like children. AOC, Pelosi, McConnell, Romney all should be voted out when the time comes and I hope people are paying attention.
Details are sketchy but apparently $500 billion of the proposed aid is corporate, with no, or very few, restrictions. That's why the Dems opposed it an hour ago. May need Trump to weigh in on the no stock buy backs.
You have to be able to catch it from the air. What is the threshold for an “airborne” designation?
I don’t know if there is an exact length of time that it would be required to “live” in air but to catch coronavirus someone would basically have to sneeze right on you or you’d have to touch a surface they’ve infected through contact. For example, measles can live in the air for 2 hours. That is not the case with CV19 and thank goodness. We would see much greater spread. What is the threshold for an “airborne” designation?
So what is the death rate? How did you arrive at it?I don't know their criteria. They also don't account for time lag for the death rate as the CDC does with other viral tracking. I don't believe the recovered rate is 0.05%, but I have seen these figures used multiple times to claim a definitive trend in the death rate. If you don't believe the recovery rate is 178/32,544, you also should not believe the death rate is 403/32,544.
Actually I hope the dems continue to block it, I’m sure I would disagree with them on the why but either way good for themSIAP ...... Hmmm.......I wonder what this is all about & why they want come together to agree for what's best ....
Senate fails to move forward with coronavirus 'Phase 3' bill amid Dems' opposition
Too much in the virus finger pointing going on for both sides here.....
