You can either do it and bite the bullet or you can let it drag on well in to Fall. Your scenario is the same in either. Jobs comes back quicker in mine.2 weeks of staying home isn't a fix or remedy. This isn't going away because people stayed home outside of work, grocery, pharmacy, doc for 14 days.
But it will likely cause many businesses to close and leave people jobless.
Both have handled it very poorly and you are right DeWine has been one of the worst. I will vote for whoever runs against Lee in the primary when he’s up and if he gets the nomination and will just sit the general election outYour governor has handled this much more reasonably than mine has, Republican Mike DeWine (OH). He shut things down a week ago and did it indefinitely instead of putting a timetable on it. His state health director is also not a calming leader as she said a week ago that we currently have 100K infections in the state. This is obviously a panicked number that's based on assumptions and not facts.
It is likely that DeWine will be opposed by Dem John Cranley (mayor of Cincinnati) in 2022. DeWine is on my radar till then. I think Cranley has done an awfully good job navigating idiots on Cincinnati City Council. I'll consider him in 2022 based upon what DeWine does
I agree with you on the social rest comment. I don’t agree with her math though because where have we seen 40-70% of any country being infected? So she’s off right from the get go.Closing comments in that video... just do it and stop complaining about it... yeah, that gives me the warm and fuzzies.
She said 2-4 weeks at the end also... I don't see how we get any further than 2 weeks without social unrest.
Ah, so this must be what you referenced earlier. I agree, this does actually sound pretty reasonable. My snap judgment based on the nursing decision was apparently incorrect. He encouraged people to get out in the warm weather groups of 10 ( I believe ) he hasn’t closed down business , the stores around here are adjusting hours and making their own decisions on dining in ( most are choosing delivery or take out ) loosened alcohol sales for restaurants so they can sell off to go . Most of our cases are from northern Virginia, DC suburbs basically and they are trying to keep them in that region and away from the Norfolk / Virginia Beach area .
The suspended campaigns coordinated together to have the candidates (or at least a staff member in Biden's case) drop by the event. Positive PR stuff. Pete's a whiskey/scotch drinker, not sure about Chasten.Who is Chasten? Let's be real, these folks didn't give a d@mn about hearing Too Short's Freaky Tales. So were they twerking or just grabbed some Gin and Juice at the house.
There have been a few rumblings about it, but at some point the fact that any politician, NBA star, or movie star can apparently get tested by making a phone call even when next to no symptoms, whereas people who are sick have to get a doctor's order and go to a drive through set up just seems wrong.
