Went to Walmart yesterday morning.....people were packing up carts like it's the end of the world. And this is in deeply red Walton County Georgia.

Governor Lee just implemented a stay at home order. No gyms/exercise centers, food by delivery/take out only, limited nursing home visitations and asking grocery stores to implement times specifically for at risk population. Midnight tonight to April 6.

Has been petitioned by 1500 physicians to implement shelter in place. He was questioned on Friday about shelter in place and his response was “not my style”. He’s catching major flak from the medical community.

Shelter in place is ridiculous. Especially for Tennessee who only has 413 cases out of a population of 6+ million.

They actually had lines at customer service and rationing it where I live for TP. I got lucky and asked a guy where the Lysol wipes were on shelves and he said, none on shelves but I have one box on pallet and will open and give you one of the five. I think they were purposely not putting on shelves because of hoarders.
Good to try to keep these stupid hoarders in check but weird to be in a line like I’ve only seen with socialists countries in pictures.

Someone told me it must be like the bread lines in the old days. I said nah. These people are all too fat.

Lol. Wow 😯 is that what it is for? Isn’t that also what social distancing is for as well? (It has already been stated to stay in home unless you have to leave)

A shelter in place “order” is an extreme measure.

Lol it isn’t a stupid answer. It’s a factual statement. 413 cases 6 million people. A shelter in place “order” basically taking your freedom away is an extreme measure. That isn’t needed at this time for the state of Tennessee.

Sorry for the smartAss response. I detected some in your post and I can’t help myself. It is extreme. Their petition (not mine) stated we have 7-10 days (as of yesterday) before widespread cases overwhelm the system.

Lol, my point is, just because 1500 stated there needs to be a shelter in place order, means that they are right. Should individuals not go out and should they not gather in groups etc. of course.

An “order” is not needed. They have already told people what to do. It is on those people to do it.

Well there are currently somewhere close to 10,000 active physicians in Tennessee. My point to the 1500 is that a governor doesn’t need to issue an order when all of these people have been given guidance on what to do. It has been made known to distance yourself, only take necessary trips, etc. the Governor doesn’t need to reiterate this and make it worse by giving a mandated “order.” Especially with the cases in Tennessee being as low as they are right now.
