1) You're trying to make it sound like it's permanent when it would be for a short length of time in the grand scheme of things. 2) What more data do you think is needed? When asked about possibly supporting a national lockdown, Dr. Fauci said that he supports whatever action it takes to get everyone to socially distance themselves. He's an expert on this topic. He isn't a politician looking to win re-election. He has nothing to gain in all this.
I agree. I was walking through the math to show how much worse things would have to be for UT to get in that position. We need to have plans in place in case it does get crazy but mandating everyone stay home is too much.
There you go making stupid assumptions again. You have a talent, although it is shared by others on here. I’m not just looking at it because of the impact on me, although you could argue everyone does that to a certain extent whether realized or not. I just view a terrorist attack on our soil that killed 3,000 and injured thousands more as more significant than a virus, similar to the flu, that has killed 300 people. You are equating daily life disruption to significance and I am not. So I could actually argue that you are the one being influenced more by how it affects yourself. It’s not over yet so we shall see but right now 9/11 was more significant. I’m not saying this event is insignificant as this would certainly be #2 by a wide margin so this is akin to who’s the GOAT, Jordan or Lebron? It’s an opinion and, as such, there is no right or wrong answer and you not understanding that is your problem. The sooner you realize that the better your life will be. Although, Jordan is the right answer to the other scenario. That is your issue. You are only looking at "your situation". I'm looking at the larger picture. There are people out of work and businesses closed because of govt mandates. That is significant. And they are talking about multiple weeks of this.
You have your head in the sand. And yes, your myopic view makes you delusional.
