Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Even if I do all of those things I still don't want to bring it home to my wife or give it to someone else who may have health problems.

Anybody that is at risk, and those that are caretakers, and those that live with at risk shouldn’t be going out at all. If you are at risk and running to grocery stores and crowded supermarkets then you aren’t being very smart.

For everyone else, why are you worried? At this point I almost want to get it so it’s over with and I have an immunity of some kind against it.

I know we are in total agreement on all this.

I feel numb from the stupidity I am witnessing. The entire world leadership got shamed, pressured, whatever. Unbelievable.

Huns is like me. We have been around the block once or twice. When you reach a certain age, and see a bunch of your friends die from this or that, you realize you aren't invincible. I figure that I can limit my exposure since I'm retired, so why chance it? I went to 3 different places yesterday, but stayed my distance as much as possible. I stayed home today. Now, I won't do that forever, but for now, I can limit my movement.

I’m terribly sorry to hear it, anything any of us can do to help out?
Pray this **** ends quickly. The economic tsunami that’s coming is unimaginable IMO. Goldman projects GDP to be down over 20% this quarter. Unemployment claims are rising at historic rates. This will be several trillion dollar bailout. We will once again hurt our future bc of decades of bad decision making.

What?

I am asking if you do them. You know, since your reasoning now is you are doing what the CDC tells you.

You always do that?

Whether I'm a 250lb slob or marathon runner I still listening to the health professionals about this virus until I find a reason not to.

Weren’t you advocating for drastic actions by our governments just a week or so ago?

Pray? I do. But what prayer?

God would laugh at how stupid the behavior is. Go to work. Go out to eat. You dont need God to make that happen.

No ****ing way I’m “okay” with it. If you can accept the .gov ruling your daily life and eliminating your free will you will be “okay” with them eliminating your right to vote. Hell you don’t deserve the right if you’re willing to give up free will.

Apples to oranges. We're in the midst of a public health emergency. Wake up and smell the roses.

Its absurd. I wish we could replace every CEO, governor, senator, whatever...that perpetuated this.

And I'm tired of famous people tweeting to follow CDC orders. Stfu. You are the last people that will ever notice the financial effects.

CEOs listened to their legal council which told them that other lawyers were salivating at the opportunity to sue their asses.

GTFO with this rational and reasonable perspective. It has no place in this country.

In all seriousness, I agree. With somebody in your situation, be smart and diligent. But by all means, we should stop with the panic and economic suicide.

I can't go to Florida house because even though there is a beach within a one minute walk, the county voted to close it for now, even to residents. I guess it's hard to determine residents from non-residents. So far, there hasn't been one case within 60 miles of there, and I guess they want to keep it that way.

Are we expected to surrender our free will and rights to the whims of elected officials who do not have the data they need to make informed decisions? Or worse yet want to capitalize on an emergency?
