But imagine exposure as filling a gallon of water and immunity as draining a gallon of water. You can only fill the gallon so quickly even if you had an infinite supply. And no matter what it would always drain it away just as fast even forever.Hmm... just guessing that a persons immune system could hold off some, but maybe harder for a lot. Maybe a critical exposure that varies by age and health.
I would think that would delay a cure, therefore increasing the standard deviation (width) of the 2nd spike. What if a mutation occurs with 2nd spike?

I think my previous example illustrates quite nicely my level of expertise. Sounded good though kindaThat's where my present understanding is lacking, it seems to primarily affect the nose, as a passage to the lungs. I'll not speculate too much on this... as I'm not sure where the immune system starts combating the infection.
Bingo, 5 for 5 on all the symptoms I have.I believe I have a mild case. In day 12 of self-quarantine. My symptoms started right after a 3-day period during which both kids came home for spring break- one from Rice and one from Georgetown- and a friend from Savannah came in for cancer treatment and stayed two nights at my workplace where I am now holed up. My symptoms are some dizziness in the morning, a little disorientation, occasional mild sweating, tiring a little quicker, and some sweating at night. But so far no cough, or chest pain, or shortness of breath.
Yes. Just about every politician and business owner is overreactingThe places with the big clusters are the ones shutting down. Florida Governor, a staunch Republican and Trump guy just shut down all non essential businesses in So. Fla. because most cases there and population skews older.
Is he overreacting too ??????
