Tusculum University in Greeneville TN. I live here most of the time. Avery County is where we have a place. I don't know what their situation is.

One of my best friends lives in Heaton, between Elk Park and B.E.. He mentioned that they were doing testing Wednesday.

Yeah, I remembered from way back, you mentioning LLH, so had me wondering.

There's a couple different ways to tell if someone is oxygenation poorly. We do arterial and venous draws. We can rule out if it's a delivery vs uptake vs usage of oxygen issue. Then we act accordingly.
If we attempt to ventilate someone because they aren't uptaking (lung issue) oxygen we have steps we take to improve that oxygenation. The last line is usually sticking 2 cannulas central to the heart and adding oxygen to their blood since their lungs aren't uptaking, that's ECMO.

Having a fever is the main symptom then go from there. If you have any of the other symptoms like shortness of breath, you should self isolate and be cautious not to potentially spread if you do have to get around others. Fear and anxiety will give you shortness of breath too.

As of Friday (today) : There's 154 Coronavirus cases statewide in TN. Consider ourselves lucky I guess...
26 of those people apparently aren’t in the state but have a TN address. If other states are doing something similar the numbers are a little misleading in a couple ways.

You had any residual effects from the illness hogg?

Still don't have all of my wind back, seem to get tired earlier than I did. Other than that and every time I have a cough I think "oh **** not again" nothing terrible. The shortness of breath and cough was terrible, coughing so much I would almost pass out.

Cannulas? I won't ask about ECMO because I did before. I have forgotten, so I'll look it up. Might as well look up cannulas while I'm at it.

"Beefing up preparedness" largely means social distancing, which is already happening, and a vaccine, which in many ways depends on flattening the curve. Suggesting that people should go get sick in order to "beef up preparedness" is dumb

Actually there is validity to the idea of exposure for a population to build immunity.

But let's go somewhere else. "Global Warming" thought it had the market cornered on psuedo Facebook scientists using it, then "flatten the curve" said hold my beer.

When we have 225,000 cases. 50,000 which are severe. Using the assumption all 50,000 need hospitalization in the same period, with 3,000 counties, that is around 15 per county. We cant handle that?

We know.
