Ask Behr anything about anything not related to food

So off all things, Fresh Market can deliver in the next five hours. I ordered a minimal amount that will tide us over for a week.

What a weird world this is going to be for the next unknown period of time.

There is no reported Covid-19 in my area, not to say that it isn't here but it hasn't been reported yet. We have the largest hospital in the area so I feel anyone that is showing symptoms would be processed through there. I hit the stores 4 times over about 5 days and I am good for about a month for everything except milk and bread. Can do without the milk, bread will be an issue but we have frozen in the freezer and really don't need to eat it anyway.

What I wonder is, what do all of these people actually have that are reporting having the coronavirus? Do they have Covid-19 or is it "just" a coronavirus? I have been a skeptic from the beginning and I have noticed that everything or nearly so that you read always just says coronavirus, not Covid-19. I'm not convinced yet that Covid-19 is that prevalent. Coronavirus is very common....

Coronavirus

Edit: All this says is that these viruses are common and to simply take the same precautions that you would to not catch the flu.

I actually have a pick up order tonight at Kroger. I'm watching the site very closely to see what gets substituted/removed from my list! I ordered the max allowed for ground beef, but I'm not hopeful. Also, I still wasn't able to add TP or paper towels to my order.
Welp, just received an order update from Kroger for my pick up tonight....... no ground beef, no chicken breast, no cornmeal, no potatoes, no eggs, and no steak. :(

We were actually getting produce.

For the statistics, these are people who have been diagnosed as positive by physicians. It can be by CDC-confirmed lab tests, “presumptive” positive non-CDC tests, waiting on CDC confirmation with symptoms, symptoms plus radiology results (ground-glass opacities on CT plus history and negative for flu, RSV, etc. It’s not just people saying “I’ve got the sniffles.”

This is a type of coronavirus, just as a Ferrari is a type of car. If you look at a collection of worn-out Toyota Corollas and Ford Fiestas, it wouldn’t give you any idea of what a Ferrari can do.

Went to Kroger here earlier they had most everything except TP and soup -- price of meat was a little higher, but I got 2 roasts - should be able to make it last awhile

No chicken for us of any type whatsoever, but that’s ok. A few substitution, and my “personal shopper” was able to find a 7.8 lb boneless Boston butt, which hubs thinks he can stuff into the slow cooker. This I’ve got to see.

I just tried delivery with Aldi for the first time in hopes they would have beef.....chicken....ANYTHING. They didn't. But I did get eggs and potatoes.

maybe you should just go inside - I didnt see anyone getting pick up or any personal shoppers getting items but they did have alot of meat and chicken

You can chat with them while they're shopping -- she said it was cleaned out. 👎🏻
I had fun with this - I’m a noob, and so was my shopper, but she did a great job. She helped with the substitutions and found out when more chicken was expected.

At any rate, we’re set for produce (and pork) until I can get the HarrisTeeter curbside pickup order next Thursday.

I'm trying to force myself into acting as if there’s 10” of snow over an inch of ice on the roads, and if I’m out of something, there’s something else I can fix.

And I hope to be able to use curbside pickup in the future, now that I know how it works, but I have to admit it was kinda fun to have the doorbell ring, and boom, there’s my food! At least I’m help a local young person a bit (online tip plus cash at door.)

I'd give my left you know what for a Publix. When we lived in FL they and Albertson's were as common as Dollar Generals.
Ours is definitely on the smallish side with a surprisingly tiny produce section, but it’s handy to our moms’ Assisted Living place (not that we can visit), and it’s definitely different from our neighborhood raggedy-ass Ingles. We have to drive to the “good” Ingles.

Email Ingles corporate and tell them about your raggedy ass store and good store. Might get an upgrade for the raggedy store.

That is the way I’m going, I hate shopping.
