Trump wasn't sent to Washington to keep up the status quo. I'm sorry you didn't like him not doing things like has been done for decades, but things will be just fine.

Correct, there wasn't a media induced panic in 2009 most likely because it was not an election year. Also the other difference is in how many infected people and deaths, 2009 was much worse.

I was sick all day Monday and spent several hours reading this thread from the beginning. I agree with a lot on both sides, but just don't get the "if you don't agree with me I hope you suffer" attitude. I mean, I just don't get it and won't try.

IMO you did all you could do in your situation and that's more than some of these internet tough guys have probably done, besides bish and moan about what others have done.

Syrians president has already called for china to be investigated. Back when trump was saying 15 victims. Iran was blaming china when Trump was saying go to work.

Those are particularly anti USA nations calling out China before Trump did.

When the debate is about whether there is an overreaction to this virus vs previous viruses, quoting the overreactions won't work to prove how much worse the virus is.

If this infects as many people as swine flu, it will kill far more, which is what the world is trying to prevent.

I'd not question his motives much, if he said something like "Covid-19 originating in China". It would serve both purposes of calling it by its designated name, as well as drawing attention to it's generally suspected origin.

I don't care enough to harp on it.. but knowing Trump, I'd guess he's being, at least, partially spiteful.
