Yeah man, I think I’ll probably be OK (unless this thing lasts 6+ months) but all these service workers living paycheck to paycheck are screwed. I saw West Town Mall in Knoxville is closing for 10 days and that’s going to be killer for anyone depending on those paychecks.

Yep this is going to be difficult for service workers who really can't work at all. Saw that earlier about West Town.. (Hopefully my comment isn't taken out of context of saying I'm thankful for not having to worry. Just glad it's one thing I don't have to worry about)

I'm an associate dentist at an office and it sucks for our employees who basically live paycheck to paycheck. Our business doesnt look to be covered by the legislation passed, so if we have to close, I'll be ok but I worry about our assistants, hygienists, and receptionists

One thing that I would encourage folks to do would be if you pick up to go orders, go ahead and tip as if you dined in. It’s not much, but every little bit will help.

Just told my wife the exact same thing. This is going to be really bad for restaurant/bar workers.

My second job closed, but my hours at Amazon are actually increasing. They are also hiring a ton of people to make sure orders are filled so if you know of anyone that needs a job for the next few weeks, might be an option.
