Ok I apparently missed the joke as Bass did. A good joke you shouldn't have to explain as a joke 😉

Was not a defense of socialism, but rather a defense of what the government is currently doing, as not socialist.

Hopefully just due to all the testing finally being done, but new reported cases continue to shoot up. 1700 new yesterday. 1300 so far today. Though it is more a concern over total numbers down the road. The growth rate appears still fairly steady, doubling every ~2.5 days. Hopefully that rate comes down with the new measures by the government(s). It is only sustainable for so long. Otherwise, we're talking 7,000 new cases daily in just 5 days, 28,000 daily in 10. With everyone doing their part, hopefully this can be avoided.

Girl at work came back from vacation in Florida coughing her lungs up and didn't even have the decency to cover her mouth. Imma throw some hands if I get it.

If you follow the guidelines, how do you get tested? The guidelines say stay at home and don't go to the doctor.

The said at the press conference today not to give into press hysteria. Tests are now being given out, and because of that new cases will shoot up. But not to panic because that is to be expected. The death rate will lower as the amount of tests shoot up.

She also said that younger people do not need to be concerned and most will pass it without many problems. It's just that the younger folks need to isolate to protect the elderly.

No idea. It's absurd really. I think last Friday the president mentioned bringing more private entities into the fold for testing. We really need drive thru testing, then follow ups with all known contacts, like SK did. They have nearly killed this thing on their peninsula in just 1 month:

Cases were always going to increase exponentially with increased testing. Heck I wonder how long the virus has actually been in the US and how many people have already recovered from it since then without even going to a hospital etc.
