Dad is ok. He's got all this time on his hands and he wants to be doing something. He's been coming to my facility everyday working on some of his projects. He didn't act like he felt good yesterday and I encouraged him to go home. He's got a cough and we're not sure if its his lung condition or he'spicked something up. Obviously our minds go to the worst possible thing. I purchased some masks and one of my suppliers sent a few over for him. I just have to get him to wear them. My sister and I worry about one of us gettig the virus and passing it on to him so we are torn about being around him and him being alone. Other that we're ok. Strange times we are a livin'.How’s your dad doing, as well as his health? You and the rest of your family?
For sure! Hope he’s ok and it’s nothing serious.Dad is ok. He's got all this time on his hands and he wants to be doing something. Which I totally understand...what I do not understand is how people think this can go on for 4-6 months...We can not shut down life for that long without absolutely destroying everything that makes life worthwhile for good.Which is the plan. They want to drag it out for two reasons, limit the deaths and try and not overwhelm or healthcare system.
I agree. I think this 2 week hiatus allows more time to acquire resources. I don't think many understand how these things work. I saw an excellent YouTube video yesterday about how pandemics work and the exponential growth. I'll see if I can find it.Which I totally understand...what I do not understand is how people think this can go on for 4-6 months...We can not shut down life for that long without absolutely destroying everything that makes life worthwhile for good.
How are people going to eat or pay their bills with no money? How are people going to have money with no jobs? 1000$ sure ain't gonna cut it for anybody...am I wrong?
I have seen no good answers for this question. When you see those "flatten the curve" graphs, they are spaced out over 3-6 months, not a few weeks...
This is a disaster either way.
Remember these same conversations when he was in his 30’s. Won his most recent Super Bowl at 41. When he’s had viable weapons, he’s been dangerous. Something always has to give sometime...he’s ignored that traditional timetable for quite awhile.'cept that dude is gonna be 43 years old come game time. Tough to be the goat when you are in your 40's.

After reading that I finally see how serious this is and how serious it could get if the necessary precautions aren’t implemented by all. Highly recommend taking a few minutes to read in its entirety. My thoughts on all of this have completely changed since reading that and I advise everyone to take this seriously if you aren’t already.Since I'm sure most didn't read this, the study suggests with no social distancing or school closure or anything else, there would be 2,200,000 dead in the U.S. That's 2.2 million. The ICU beds required is many times more than U.S. capacity.
The economic impact was happening one way or the other. That doesn't make it suck any less, but the alternative was worse. Another sobering part of this study is what happens even with enormous socially and economically impactful interventions for less than a few months. The introduction of pharmaceutical therapies would be a very welcome development.
