Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Good non-answer, but OK.
It was a splendid answer to a non-question.

I'm on record as thinking Trump is a lying scum bucket that I couldn't vote for, nor will I in this election. Your low hanging diversion fruit is wasted on me.

Now, as you try to attack him as a liar, while defending your lies... What should we think of you? If you began to show care for truth, we could respect you more than we do Trump, but alas... We have to lump you both together as political hack liars who defend their lying lies.

Behind a pay wall. But I have seen some other articles about that.

1000 to each person a month. 330 million times 1000. 3.3 trillion. Even if it's just to adults that's more than 2.5 trillion. A month. The entire governments operating budget is 4.3 trillion a year. And they want to spend more than that in two months just giving money to people. Dumb AF.

Our total GDP is under 22 trillion. They are literally pulling this money out of other people's butts. Complete irresponsibility.

That doesnt even touch the other 2 trillion is tax payer funded money y want to give away. JFC this is disgusting.

Our debt payments are going to be more than what we spend on the military in 8 years. That's not even a joke. Adding 4.5 trillion to our debt/deficit will add approx 80 billion in owed interest. Based on the current math of owing 23 trillion and paying 404 billion.

Dumb all around. On anyone at all involved in this.

And that's just two months of the bs. Apply that to half a year or more. Jfc. Jfc. Jfc.
I wish you were our president, representatives and senators.

Yes, that idea is crap. It's typical gov't one size fits all solution. First of all you don't have to help all Americans. You don't have to help the teachers who are still getting paid. You don't have to help the seniors on Social Security. Their income isn't affected. No, this needs to be targeted to those who need it most like small business owners such as restaurants, bowling alleys and even dental offices. They're the ones who are suffering. A thousand bucks a month doesn't move the needle for them

Oh please, a cheap political trick is a cheap political trick, and his left many people seeing it for what it was.

Rather than address the CV criticism head-on, he called it a hoax, a Democrat Hoax.
He called the hysteria a media hoax, which I happen to agree with, by the way. Dr. Drew posted a wonderful video giving reasons why we are better off refusing to listen to the media, who are lying about this and creating a dangerous hysteria. If you haven't watched it, watch it.

But that's a far cry from calling the virus a hoax.

So, you repeated media lies about a true comment that called out media lies. When it was pointed out that you were parroting media lies, you doubled down, admitted lying, defended lying, insulted a group of people that you've never met (who, by the way, correctly interpreted his comments) and then tried to divert attention by attempting to gaslight me.

Yah. You may want some social distancing to regroup.

Its worth it to cancel and close everything -- right ?

Your math is off a little 330M X 1000 is 330 Billion, still a lot of money.
What I have a problem with is giving a bailout to the airlines. OK, airlines, here are your bailout terms!

@hUTch2002

Shockingly, I can’t find any posts from March 2 saying “Fox and Friends contributor of unknown name and credentials is a better resource than Mike Pence.”

So you saw this guy, thought he was dumb, and assumed that people here who disagree with you are relying on him or equally dumb “experts.” Just like I said.

That makes you a condescending ass, too.

At least for me it’s not accidental.

I think I have done a good job of laying out the failure of the industry and it's not because of the ACA. I've heard all the stories. Obama lied said you could keep your doctor. Serious question, what part of the ACA caused that sole group to pull out of the area? Is it the part where they have to provide that standard level of coverage outlined in the ACA? Can you say it was anything other than a business decision to increase profits?

I can answer that. It's the same reason lots of businesses pull out: gov't regulation. The gov't putting regulations on what these companies hads to offer and who they had to accept caused them to pull out, Trump helped this tremendously. Thanks to his deregulation of the health care field I know have choices again and in the end, I've saving $600/mo

I posted the text below in the Pub coronavirus thread in response to a comment, and sharing here also. Have added some comments at the end.

Number of deaths per year in the US:

Heart disease: 647,457
Cancer: 599,108
Accidents (unintentional injuries): 169,936
Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 160,201
Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases): 146,383
Alzheimer’s disease: 121,404
Diabetes: 83,564
Influenza and pneumonia: 55,672
Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and nephrosis: 50,633
Intentional self-harm (suicide): 47,173

Death is a part of society and a part of life, as can be seen above. Some of these deaths are self-imposed (diet, lifestyle, etc) and others are no fault of our own. Although each individual death causes extreme grief and sorrow for loved ones, we have all grown accustomed to the "normal" causes of death in society.

What society considers "normal" is usually that which does not disrupt society as a whole. Many people die of the flu, but flu deaths are spread out over time and don't overwhelm hospital systems. Wrong or right, society considers this as normal.

The coronavirus has shown a complication rate high enough to be able to overwhelm hospitals with critically ill patients, and thus have a very large impact on society by hindering others from having hospital care for other reasons, and potentially putting hospitals down for many months due to sickness of hospital staff. This hospital issue did not happen with SARS, Ebola, or H1N1 due their different infection characteristics. Thus Coronavirus is being considered as an event that is out of the societal norm, and is thus being treated with more seriousness.

Agree or disagree, wrong or right, this is one of the reasons why events are unfolding as they are.

I understand the logic above for keeping our hospitals functional.

Haven't followed this thread, so apologies if the thoughts below have already been covered.

A concern though is that the government will use this event as an excuse to restrict our freedoms even more in the future and/or produce more of a dependence on gov in the future. Or as a scapegoat to crash the financial system to initiate a new financial system with less freedoms than the one that currently exists. That the fiat debt-based system was out of control (true, since it has become heavily dependent on Fed monetary injections and rate cuts) and ultimately headed for implosion, and this event was a perfect scapegoat to go ahead and let that happen.

There are theories that gov caused this for that end purpose in mind. True or not, nobody knows. However several of the "elite" have been recorded as repeating Churchill's statement, "Never waste a good crisis", and regardless of where the virus originated, they could use this crisis for furthering an agenda for greater control over the populations, or launching a different financial system.

Who's going to be cool when Democrats in Congress try some cheap political trick to undermine the President when they should be working with him?
About the same holding him account for telling everyone the virus was a Democrat Hoax. The majority of Americans.

The perception of, rather than the actuality. But frame it how you want,

Money wont go to 330000000. Most likely to people who file income taxes and under a certain income level and I'm willing to bet next year when you file..you'll be paying it back. Im going to use mine to buy a new gun since I dont live paycheck to paycheck.
Temporary effing fix to screw us over in the long run.

Would have been far better to let people keep their money and shut down the government for 2 months. See how they freaking like it

Freaking chicken littles get to screw people over and give themselves more power while ensuring they have created the next crisis to make sure they have even more power in the future.

They are a self creating disaster.
