Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Yes, they have done a good job with that all over. I have yet to see anything in the news that came from actual responsible scientists that indicates this virus to be more deadly than the common flu season. It spreads like it has because it is new in the market place. But, that doesn't make excuse to freak everyone out like they have. The media hype on this is nothing short of gross negligence. It will flat line and normalize. And the mortality will predominantly be those individuals that would have also succommed to the flu.
You aren’t looking very hard.

I figured a "libertarian" would be against all these demanded curfews and bar/restaurant closings.

I'm against force of any kind. That has nothing to do with the erroneous point that he was forced to declare a state of emergency to calm fears.

Not sure how this is hurting the economy. Grocery stores can't keep food on the shelves. People are spending copius amounts of money.

IMO he only did it to try to calm fears, I disagree with it. I wish he had come out and told everyone to calm the F down, this is no big deal.

Do you still maintain this is no big deal, is under control, etc.?

Italy says hello. /QUOTE]

Italy is full of Chinese they’ve been buying up property like drunken sailors, maybe if they had closed down travel from China early on like Trump there wouldn’t be so many cases..🤔

Until Corona clears 22,000 flu deaths so far this season in the US alone, and climbing, it is not a pandemic or epidemic. It's just an election year against trump.

I don’t think we go by the GVF Meter of what is and isn’t a pandemic lol

The bounce back will be huge in a lot of sectors. I think airlines and hotels/resorts will be hurting for awhile, though.
I think you are correct on this but the timing is what will be key. The travel industry is certainly going to take a while to get back to whatever they consider normal.

Service industries like custodial are actually doing a booming business at the moment with those businesses staying open.
