Paraphrasing a quote I read somewhere:

"It's one thing when you send out a tweet to correct another tweet. It's entirely different when you send out a tweet to correct errors in a prime-time presidential address to the nation amidst a public health emergency with life and death consequences. But that's what the president had to do Wednesday night".

There's not a clearer example of a dysfunctional Oval Office.

Governor here in Kentucky is shutting down all bars and restaurants with dining rooms by 5 pm today. We were likely headed in that direction, but obviously now don’t have a choice.

not by much, but some are in a tight spot, having to call for GOP governors to be arrested vs settling on prudent "conservative precaution"

Here’s my conspiracy theory: China released this on purpose. They’re expecting it to wear down the rest of the world in the next year, and then possibly release a second round which really catches us off guard. They then attack us and get us out of their way. I bet they already have a cure which they are saving for themselves.

China has always planned on a confrontation with us according to their 100 year plan.

Not to make light of the situation, well a little, but...

N1H1. No mass hysteria. No public shutdowns. No quarantines. No sunshine pumping by the media, No fear mongering.

CDC numbers to date for 2019/2020 Flu season, hundreds of thousands of influenza cases, 22,000 deaths in the US. Nothing.

Covid-19. Somewhat mild symptoms, similar to if not milder than the flu. No health danger not already present with influenza. Presence in US and other countries has probably already been spreading longer than people know, and has already been contracted and recovered. Didn't know what to call it until the Chinese finally owned up. Main difference ???? TRUMP is in office. It's only natural for the media and their associates backing them to push mass hysteria and fear mongering. This viral outbreak would get barely half the media attention and panic pandering if it was someone in office other than TRUMP. We all know that's true. It will soon be added to the group listing of all the other Chinese released epidemics that know one really shows concern over anymore. And since my wife is in need of a smart phone internet intervention, this weekend panic cost me some cash at the store. Thanks MMM for your over the top panic pandering. Responsible hygiene and such to do your part certainly noted, and should be expected. But, the media cares less for the 22,000 flu deaths than they do for a virus that they can blame Trump for how he handled or didn't handle.

lol at "turn the ship around" The only ship that needs to be turned around is the fake hysteria by the radical left media
