I'm just trying to illustrate to everyone the Chinese govts lack of action when it came to combating this or stopping its spread. If you start a fire and then blunder around trying to fix your mess rather than warning others and asking for help, then you probably don't want anybody around WHO might stumble over the real cause when you are trying to blame an imported appliance or something other than your own incompetence and neglect.
I'd bet WHO is only marginally more effective at problem solving than the UN and the CDC is maybe on par with NASA ... they've all had their largely mediocre ups and downs and spent lots of our money doing so.
To get rid of (sell) 17,700 bottles of hand sanitizer? Let’s see if the ‘no such thing as bad PR’ works out for him.

I have my doubts that they would have been able to prevent it from leaving their borders to begin with, but seeing as they ignored this for 2 months before doing anything......anyone arguing about what the rest of the world did/did not do to stop it from entering each country is irrelevant.
What’s stupid about it? The guy was making stacks of money until third parties interfered. Even if he donates all this he’ll come out ahead.Probably a reality TV addict who thinks the more outrageous he looks the better he'll do with his 17K bottle of sanitizer stock. We may cure this "world ending pandemic", but there's still no fix for stupid. Imagine his credit card balance right now ... and the prospects of fixing it.
Costco Knoxville this morning at 9 AM, 30 minutes before opening.
We usually go early on Saturday mornings because it is usually a pretty sparse crowd at that time.
Not today. At about 9:05, an employee comes out and announces that they are all out of toilet paper and all paper products. They do not anticipate getting restocked until at least Wednesday.
Once in, we also found that they have been out of potatoes since yesterday. "Caucasians/white folks" were buying 50lb bags of rice, which seemed at bit "unusual." I've never seen anything like this outside of a disaster like a hurricane or after an earthquake. I guess, as a nation, we believe we are having one now.
I have several emotions going on, competeing with each other. A combination of sad and disgust, is about the best I can do to describe it.

China and Japan own a good portion of the US debt. It is what it is....manufacturing is not loving from China. If one thing that has been consistent is the American businesses will always put $ before people.I'm pretty certain that China has screwed themselves with the rest of the world's economy after this virus. The icing on the cake was accusing the US of creating the virus and infecting the world with it. Their standing in the world is over and the mass exodus of manufacturing from China has begun.
It may seem petty-- it does to me -- but I find it hard to take the Surgeon General seriously due to the lisp.
The number one reason that people go into business is to make money. If you want to serve your fellow man, join the Peace Corps.China and Japan own a good portion of the US debt. The market provides what the consumer will buy. Many consumers want a cheaper product, so that means producing it somewhere cheap.China and Japan own a good portion of the US debt.
