How long does it take to build a plant and train workers? Not just the people on the floor - the more technically trained in testing and keeping the place running safely. That's assuming we've kept the people who develop drugs and their labs around.

So I go in feeling fine for my routine checkup and wind up sitting in a waiting room with someone who is actually sick and contagious ... somehow that just doesn't sound like a good plan to me.

Hospitals and the CDC have been monitoring and and planning for this since the beginning. I think you need to educate yourself on what novel infectious prevention teams do on a weekly basis

We already have the infrastructure to test. What specifically is needed for this test, I don't know. But other countries are way ahead of us on the number of tests given.

That's fine, but if primary care doctors don't have the ability to test patients, or even tell the patient where to go to get a test, then it's failed.

If you are under 70 and healthy, live your life as normal. Go to work, go shopping, go out to eat if you want. I would also add if you have the means to do so make sure you go out as much as possible and support your local businesses, some of these people especially small business employees could be hurting over this.

The CDC and health dept standards are to rule flu and other viruses and illnesses our first as well as match travel history/symptoms etc. it makes no sense to test every swinging d*ck that comes on with a headache for corona. This is being caused by pure panic and the hospitals and health depts ( at least the ones here in the area) know what they are doing

I've been involved in multiple plant startups from the ground up. Thinking you can just ramp production of something up overnight is naive.

I would guess they were being liquidated and he was an Ebay reseller or something, but who knows?
