Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

The WHO & CDC have stated that that is their belief. A belief based on all the relevant data at our disposal.

Do you believe they are lying? Just making it up?

I believe it was pointed out the data at their disposal is insufficient.

How do they know it is 10x more deadly If they claim a lot of people don’t know they have it?

Nowhere did I reference business and the economics of a tailspin. Nice strawman you tried to take down.

I said shutting down events and businesses doesn’t KILL people. Which is true.

The virus does.

Can your limited grasp process that?

Shutting down businesses will create a long term impact that historians will have to scratch their heads over. Given the reason said businesses chose to commit suicide.

But I know you dont grasp.

That's where the line becomes gray.
Most people currently would say that knowingly boarding a plan while infected with this virus is an act of intentionally spreading the virus.

You keep using that word and it's problematic to your argument. Perhaps something more like "Knowingly putting other people at possible risk." could work but legally tricky. That's sort of inline with a speeding ticket. Now IF you could demonstrate subsequent damage to others (you were a knowing vector in transmission) there could be repercussions.

Try and keep up here. You’re grasping at straws.

Not once did I bring up the economic impact. That’s all you trying to change the discussion.

The virus kills people. Shutting down businesses does not.

All conference basketball tournaments canceled. Everyone feels they need to do something, even if that something is stupid and pointless and causes more panic.

Your view is about 5 feet from your face.

Fyi...stop typing so many words, smartphones and keyboards are lit up with germs.

My wife throws up when she has kidney stones. Extreme nausea. Took her to the doctor today, and they shot her up with something , and she is fine for now, but hasn't passed stones yet. She said the doc also rubbed some lotion on her arm and the nausea went away almost immediately.
Hope she passes it soon, that sounds awful. There's one thing that will incapacitate me it's nausea. I feel for her.

So you are doubting the world’s foremost authority?
-or-
You think it’s all a hoax? Nothing to see here?
The leading authority said probably which means he is guessing based on available..... he also states he doesn’t know how many people might have the virus and it went unreported.

So you are passing along appeals to authority fallacies.

I am quoting two things that they are saying and asking a question. Try to follow.
(1) The mortality rate is x.
(2) We don't know how many people are infected.

Mortality rate is the % of deaths per number infected.

The math breaks down.

You blindly repeated the "10x more deadly claim" without thinking to ask those questions. Now you just want to keep appealing to authority. Stop and think for yourself. We're leading you to water.

People freaking out over shutting things down for a few days are just as bad as those freaking out by hoarding toilet paper. As usual, the truth lies somewhere in the middle. I don't think taking a step back for a few days to get a handle on this and gather more data as to how this thing progresses is a terrible thing. Hitting the pause button won't kill us.
