Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I think people need to get used to the possibility of an enormous financial hit to the entire world economy, including our own, for at least a year.
I'd say longer than that if we're starting to shut down countries and business. I think it'd be a year out today if we started getting good news in April.

Right now it's unknown how many people it may infect. If it ends up in the millions worldwide, with the reaction we're seeing now, it'll either be accept the risk of getting sick and society functions as best it can or continue to shut down domestic/international business and enter a global depression for years.

2 more choices:

1. Take no action that could potentially lead to someone losing a dollar at the expense of untold loss of life.

2. Take some precautionary measures that may temporarily harm the economy but save an unknowable number of lives.

Life has risk. Suck it up.

Cancelling every effing event around is not "precautionary", it is idiocy.

it was never terribly busy for me when I lived there last year. Maybe one person in front of us, usually.
I guess it's all about timing. We seem to go during peak eating hours. (Beijing beef / orange chicken - can't miss)

Kinda goes completely against the MSM and local panty pi$$ers narrative... but then again he's only the #1 guy so we should listen to Joe & Mika instead...

They just cancelled the Utah vs OKC nba game that had a full arena and after they went through all the pregame stuff.

What’s the point of letting people assemble only to tell them to leave?

Rumor is a couple players for Utah had been ruled out due to “illness” and it went from there. Apparently it was only an issue after they went through pregame warmups and tens of thousands of people showed up to watch a game.
