"We gonna beat Bama!"

The offseason never disappoints.
Played them very well last year AT Tuscaloosa. Had a chance to make it a 1 score game with 7 minutes left before you know who did you know what to put the nail in his own team’s coffin.

Some in Louisiana said the same thing about Joe Burrows last year
Lol. Let’s keep this post front of mind when we see Guarantano’s 5th year at Tennessee this year. I’ll go on record saying he won’t have 1/3 the td passes and 1/3 the passing yards and will not win the Heisman this season.

So, you literally see Tennessee lose to Florida every year, come hell or high water, no matter what the circumstances are....conversely, you’ve seen Tennessee beat SCar fairly routinely over the last 25-30 years, beat the ever living hell out of them last year. But even with all that knowledge, you can see a scenario where we beat Florida and lose to SCar? Why? Mullen has Florida improving big time, even rolling, should be the favorite to win the East this year. Conversely, Muschamp is headed the other direction, very likely on a hot seat entering 2020.

Anything is possible surely, but if you’re trying to make an informed prediction for 2020, how do you think we lose to SCar but beat Florida?

2016 :)

My prior smart a$$ answer aside, I will envision that we will be between a 4 and 7 point dog at home to UF and probably a similar fave at USCe. There's a decent probability at least one of the dogs win outright...I just hope its not a loss at USCe.

I think we split ok and uf and go into the game hot and win it. Now I’ve been wrong before, but I think this is the time. Your thoughts?

Guess folks didn't learn the lesson regarding counting chickens before they hatch? If you need a refresher, see last years schedule...specifically the start. One game at a time and remain cupped at all times. This is UT we're talkin' 'bout.

YAY!!!! 2016....1 win in the last 15 games!! That’s great. Thanks for reminding everybody, thought it looked a little hopeless there for a minute, like Florida owned us. But we won in 2016, so scratch that, that changes everything.

Haha, I knew that's what you were gonna say. Pretty sure he was responding to the part of your comment quoted below.

But even with all that knowledge, you can see a scenario where we beat Florida and lose to SCar?

No, there are a few weak minded losers that have given up any and all hope that we beat the almighty Gators. To them losing to Florida is as sure a thing as their pinky finger automatically raising while lifting the bottle of Zima to their lips.

LMAO, great post. My visualization is Phil Dunphy (Modern Family) in a Vol shirt drinking his Zima........

With the talent, experience, and depth we now have on both lines of scrimmage, combined with what appears to be a top-notch S&C program, we have a chance to beat everyone on our schedule. For the first time in a long time, there are no automatic losses.

That would be great. I would prefer to drop the one to OU if I had to drop one and beat Florida and Bama. This place would melt (in a good way).

What was the point? It must have gone over my head too because I thought volpreachers point was Joe Burrow made the difference in wins and losses.

I mean, if Im wrong, go back and look at the exchange between McDadio and volpreacher and tell me what his point was

Burrow improved tremendously no? I think the point was that JG could also improve tremendously. Not saying he will but he could. At least that’s the way I see it. But I could be wrong.

But wins and losses don’t just boil down to a QB. You think LSU wins the NC with Callaway, Palmer and JJ last year? Not even close. Why? Because neither one of those are even close to what Burtow had.

Yes, Burrow improved tremendously. If he hadn't, you think they win the NC? Lol. You think LSU wins the NC with JG and he wins Heisman?

Lol. QB is waaaay more important than you like to argue. And I think you know it but your silly pride won't let you admit it. That's okay though, its entertaining.

QB is very important no doubt. But not more important than the other 21 players on both sides of the ball.

Yep. We don't stand a chance against any of the "Top 4" on our schedule with JG at QB.

I see you didnt answer my questions, I don't blame you.

What other position on a football team do you and everyone else make comments like the one below about?

Yet it was JG that led us to 8 wins. Not Maurer.
