2020 Primaries

Are people still trotting this out?

They were frothing over President Obama earlier in the thread, time to get Hilldog in the mix.

Are we talking about the same donald trump that is revered for his name calling and 3am twitter tantrums?
Again counter puncher, when someone on your side starts it yes he fights back. Your boy Biden will collapse when Trump comes after him in a debate

Trump is all about projection. When he attacks somebody, usually whatever insult he uses can be traced directly back to his own insecurities and failures. He's a narcissistic, petty person that is the true definition of a snowflake.
Thank you, Dr. Freudenschade.

they do count equally, to go to the electoral college within states based on population, just like the House of Representatives is accorded as well.

Pretty simple concept and system, and was never considered an issue until liberals lost an election or two

They don't count equally, it's a winner take all system. As an example, the GOP voters in the State of California number more than all but two states and due to the way the EC works, they get exactly ZERO delegates to represent their vote. That and the EC votes are not even beholden to the actual votes cast by the electorate. The EC looks good on paper, but its practicality as a measure of the will of the people is garbage.

He's telling them that the propaganda is wrong and not intimidated being surrounded by a bunch of big guys in hard hats. Some would say that makes him senile, but I think it's amazing.
No one's surprised by that. You liberals also good with him telling the guy he doesn't work for him? If a guy running for Senate doesn't work for the voters than who does he work for?

Right? I thought they liked a president that didn't roll over and called out bullsht.

Trump talks all his sht through twitter, looks like Joe isn't intimidated or too feckless to capitulate to just being a tough guy on social media.
He only acts tough because he's a thin skinned senile punk bitch who can't handle when someone confronts him on his bullschiff

There is a process to change it, write your Congressmen and see what they will do about it

Wrong: The election is for president and all votes do not count equally.

and wrong: The framers put a great deal of thought into establishing the Electoral College, but were still uncertain exactly how it would work in practice. The first serious problem emerged in the election of 1800, .....

Because only republicans win without the popular vote.

If Joe Biden wins Texas, and it will be close, then this conversation will suddenly get much more "nuanced". There is no doubt that Texas, which is majority minority and has the second largest urban population will turn blue at some point.

If Florida trends the same way then it will become nearly impossible to draw a red map for Republicans, which is what Karl Rove has been saying to anyone who will listen for 30 years. Too bad they didn't listen.

I didn't suggest it should be changed, pay attention.

You implied it was a 'equal vote' process of determining a victor, I simply pointed out it's anything but.

more like because dems always have to stoke themselves and their voters as victims who are being unjustly screwed by society
What an idiotic response to my point.

Yeah, so presidential.......

Isn’t that what the left has been lathered up about over Trump, that he wasn’t up to snuff in the “presidential” column? Now, Joe is a wannabe badass and y’all love it?

Quite the contradiction....
Trump and Fox news like to throw out propaganda, and I'm glad he stood up to that and told his position. I've always said, the cruelty, lying and vindictiveness is what I loathe about Trump..

Texas isn't going blue anytime soon no matter how many illegals or California liberals are imported.

Stop! You look ridiculous. Are you not going to acknowledge the very things you’ve accused Trump of, Joe just did to a group of blue-collared citizens? IOW, he was un-presidential in his tone and language. Trump was, according to you and others. Call it both ways. Your contempt for all things Trump precludes you from doing that. That’s the problem with you and the left, and it will be why Trump will win re-election in resounding fashion.

The majority of Americans favor popular vote to EC. Rural states just stand behind “this is the status quo and we like it that way, so deal with it”.

Go that way with handful of like minded states dominating the entire country, and you will be headed for states without a union. Compromise holds the place together; strip away the compromise - the glue that holds it together, and you won't like the result.

They don't care about any of the schiff they have whined about for 3 years, we all know that. Biden is corrupt, thin skinned and life time politician who's never accomplished anything but getting his own family rich using his position and they all now love him and won't have any issue voting for him in November.

They weren’t super human, and they wrote these rules for 13 coastal colonies, not 50 states across a continent. Deferring to the status quo without even trying to apply critical thinking is all too common in America today unfortunately.

They were wise enough to know that those 13 colonies would expand into a vast nation, and the constitution they provided has stood the test of time.

Every voting American having an equal say in an election that affects them all equally? I’d say that’s a perfect example of fair.
I don't care "what [you] say" is a perfect example. Make a logical argument as to why it's fair.

Are you saying that democratic voting is always "a perfect example for fair"? If you're the only woman in a room full of men, democratic vote is "a perfect example of fair" when it comes to a train being run on you? Or is equal say in election (mob rule) not always fair?

You know that’s a BS quasi answer. So you’re either just being a contrary cuss, butthurt over Hills, or are absofreakingly clueless. Which is it?

Yeah, the person getting the most votes winning an election is just so radical, I can’t believe anyone would suggest such a thing.

Who’s butthurt?
