As a country we must be willing to set politics aside. How can we dedicate all of our effort to combating this virus when we’re combating each other in an election year? Donald Trump must declare martial law and cancel the election. Anything less and he’s clearly not taking this virus seriously.

No President could beat it. All we ask is that Trump be honest about it and make limiting it an urgent priority. Stop pretending it's no big deal.

No. The best they can do is mitigate the damage. But Trump should make sure he, and the admin, are 100% transparent. Because if he doesn’t he will be blamed. Fairly or unfairly.

I really doubt it, but it is possible. And if he does it will be his own damn fault. He had two months to come up with a strategy for this. He went with "pretend it doesn't exist" and "call it a Democrat conspiracy against me". So stupid. The democrats did not create a highly infectious virus capable of killing swaths of humans just to make Trump look bad. All he had to do was take it seriously and be transparent with the public health strategy. He didn't do that. If I had even the slightest inkling that he was taking this thing seriously from a public health perspective, I would give him a huge benefit of the doubt, as would most non-TDS folks.
