But they do house the demographic of people that get killed en masse by viruses every year. Why wouldn't they have them?

N-95 isn’t the only masks that help with infectious diseases. And nursing homes are just places people are sent to end their end of life, they don’t have normal medical supplies like a hospital would, except for the few that are really for rich people.

Several, yes. As a matter of fact, there’s one right next door to the hospital of which I’m employed. They do have the possibility of having patients whom acquire infectious diseases.

Ok and please tell me what kind of medical equipment similar to a level 1 trauma center do they regularly have in their supplies?

I work at a critical access hospital. We are nowhere near a L1 trauma center. Are you implying that we should not the N95’s that we do?

Of course not. I’m saying that joe blow nursing homes do not order those kinds of medical supplies so expecting them to is a fruitless goal. They aren’t medical facilities and barely have supplies for anything other than band aids, bandages, a few syringes for meds, and AEDs

Masks are so cheap. Nobody is saying they have to have medical supplies like a hospital would. It seems like it would be smart to have cheap items that are specifically and especially useful at a nursing home.

it would be smart. But nursing homes operate to maximize profits and they aren’t going to spend money on something in bulk they might need every 3 years or so

Do you know what's expensive? Moving people out, dealing with vacancy, and then filling said vacancy because somebody croaked from preventable spread of a virus.

Not really. The baby boom population and their kids wanting to get rid of them to place them in homes has been a boon for these places. Why do you think they hire people who are felons for $7-8 an hr?

Washington added some of that information back to the DOH website with today's update. Of note, to date, only a total of 1246 patients have been officially tested.

Two more deaths associated with the Kirkland facility were reported today. Another (not reflected on that site) was just reported in central Washington. 80 year old man with no travel history or known contacts. He's been at about a dozen events at the Quincy Senior Center over the past three weeks...

No he doesn’t. I get the skepticism. But think logically for a moment. A descendant of Gates will NEVER have to worry about money. I don’t care how many generations you want to go out. We will be eaten by the sun, or freeze to death bc it dwarfs, before any descendant of his has to worry about money. So you would have to believe he is pure evil. He isn’t. He was a ruthless businessman for sure. But now it’s legacy building.

A patent for the coronavirus spreading in Wuhan was not applied for in 2015
