I’m sorry that I missed the paper/plastic bag discussion. I wanted to provide my perspectives as a former industry insider.

You see, in the early 1990s I was a courtesy clerk (bag boy) at Food City on Kingston Pike to make money during high school. As I type that I think simultaneously - “the 90s wasn’t so long ago; Holy Crap that was almost 30 years ago!”

We bagged with 90% paper bags and it seemed unusual if someone wanted all their stuff in plastic.

It would be interesting to know the tipping point where that ratio inverted.

Anyways, that’s back when we actually carried people’s groceries out to their car and set them in their trunk.

I can’t even picture someone doing that at my local Kroger’s now. Heck, it’s hard enough to get an actual human being cashier.

* I had my wisdom teeth recently removed and am still eating oatmeal, yogurt and soups. Maybe that’s why I have temporarily slipped into an elderly curmudgeon mind state.

Went to a men's room at a Speedway not long ago and there was a guy who looked to be in his mid twenties on the floor doing pushups as men were entering/leaving the facility. He finished his set as I was still standing at a urinal near the lavatory and he turned and walked out after he got up. I couldn't believe he would be so stupid. That floor was fairly nasty looking too.

Meth? Seen a methhead on the sidewalk before doing situps while talking very loudly to himself.

I don't understand adults that don't wash their hands....Hell, I don't understand people that walk barefoot in public restrooms and restaurants either.

My office building has a central restroom for the entire floor with several companies on each floor. One of the tenants on our floor has quite a few younger gentlemen that don't wash their hands. It was disconcerting even before this outbreak.

I see it quite a bit while traveling. Mostly in Alabama and Mississippi though. They look dirty to begin with, so the floor may be actually cleaner than them.
