They dont want to hear it. They just want to blame Trump.Actually, almost every doctor I have spoken with agrees with everything he said. As I've explained earlier in the thread: most cases of Coronavirus are likely mild (like the other corona strains that we see every year). Those cases will never be tested, because people will not seek medical attention. It's very likely that we are only seeing/diagnosing the worst "piece of the pie." How small that fraction is remains the question. If it's the worst quarter, 10%, or 1% of patients, the actual mortality rate will be under 1%.
Also, he did not give any recommendations in that clip.
I think we can safely blame @David Ubben for that one smh.Corona virus is in TN. Governor press conference soon.
Agree unless there is an announcement to allocate x amount of state money or to clarify it as a travel case. Otherwise it has little benefit. At this point it is a little ridiculous. What will you convey, that is useful, that some fed press conference or other state press conference, has not conveyed?
It's a rumor at this point. Hopefully what I was told is wrong. We'll see.At this point it is a little ridiculous. What will you convey, that is useful, that some fed press conference or other state press conference, has not conveyed?

I don't think it's a bad thing to hold a PC. Saying nothing is probably worse for instilling panic.
Spot on. We complain about the media and yet we go into "milk and bread (toilet paper) panic" when they start the incessant drum beat. We are Pavlovian in our responses. The media just rings the bell. The fear of the illness is causing more damage than anything else. The media is going to do what the media does, we know it - yet we continue to lap it up.
Now that I know more about this illness, I'm not scared of it at all.
It's balancing act, no doubt. Media is all over Trump for downplaying it, same with some on here. Saying nothing is down playing it. It's a no win, damned if you do damned if you don't scenario. I think if there is a case and the governor stated the measures taking place that it would probably help. Has he had the PC? I heard it was schedule for 9:00 CST.The fear of the illness is causing more damage than anything else. The media is going to do what the media does, we know it - yet we continue to lap it up.
You know @1972 Grad wont be able to cancel his thrice a week visit to Perkins for the early bird special.Right? If I were immunocompromised or elderly (@1972 Grad), I'd probably invest in some hand sanitizer and avoid bingo down at Kiwanis hall. Otherwise, the fallout from the overreaction is by far a more terrifying prospect.
Wow, your spinning like LG.

The Tennessee Government down to colleges has already discussed a long term shutdown situation. Colleges are looking at their entire list of classes and starting to plan on shifting them over to online in the event of a widespread infection in Tennessee.Corona virus is in TN. With a son over on the hill I don't dislike this idea. The Tennessee Government down to colleges has already discussed a long term shutdown situation.
