2020 Primaries

They were absolutely correct in their assumptions. Trump was the only hope of beating Hillary . Everyone else would have been thumped and steam rolled by her .
I don't believe that at all. But if it is true, that is even a more horrible commentary on the people who voted for Trump but would not have voted for any of the other rep. candidates.

If you are saying Trump was the best choice for the repubs., then so be it. That speaks to the republican party.

Disagree. Trump is the incumbent. Parties rarely if ever put a candidate out to go against the incumbent, unless that person goes in it rogue. Paul and/or Haley (or both as a ticket) will be on the GOP next time around. Would have been better choices this time around, but like I said.

So the Dem Party Establishment is "Anybody but Bernie and we've decided it's Joe." So the appropriate thing to do is screw Bernie, which, luther, you said: "I don't think the party is screwing him." What, then, would you call it, other than "the appropriate thing to do."?

You think they were motivated by altruism, do you?
It wasn't the dem party establishment, it was the dem party voters; sort of the way it's supposed to work.
How in the world are they screwing Bernie? They aren't stopping anyone from voting for him that wishes to vote for him.
Why do you think think they would support a person who is not really even a member of the party and they view as having less of a chance of winning? That would be a little silly.

Whoa...she said the H...E...double hockey stick word on air twice!

Donna,

The WikiLeakes Dem e-mails from 2016 was proof that the Dems were actively working to keep Bernie from being the nominee. It's not unheard of. I imagine that you learned your lesson so this yr you're not using "password" as your password this time around, if not we may have our "proof".

Well, they did bribe Klobs and Petey out of the race to prop up Biden against Bernie, and eventually Trump. Warren is already yesterday's cartoon and doesn't know she's done. Trump will prey on Biden's inability to get anything out of his mouth to be coherent. I'm looking for Gabby to go third party before it's over with. The Dems have played this within their own party as aptly as any of the previous attempts to oust Trump.
Biden will play on Trump's horrendous despicability as a human and his complete inability to open his mouth without lying.

Ok let’s see then , who do you believe would have beaten Hillary from the Rs camp in 2016 besides Trump ?

I was talking 2016.
But of course he is also horrible as the 2020 candidate.

I really think Gabby will just fade away, and I have mixed feelings about that ... I like her but not her politics. Chief Liz isn't bright enough to realize somebody has already turned out the lights. They'll put up with Bloomberg ... comic relief. The interesting part is what happens when Bernie gets screwed by a political has been. I'm betting the odds are a massive heart attack (Clintoned) over a third party run if he doesn't see dim reason.

Trump will get under joes skin so much and so often he will be a stuttering mess that stays on the verge of taking a swing at Trump.

Think what the Tennessee defense did to Miami in the '86 Sugar Bowl in a Trump vs Biden match. Dims are gonna have to figure out how to hide their love (Biden) away.

And the circular reasoning starts again. Why did Buttigieg and Klobuchar end their campaigns just days before Super Tuesday? That wasn't the voters, that was the candidates. Buttigieg claims to have won in Iowa, Klobuchar was rejuvenated after New Hampshire.

Klobuchar dropped out just before her home state, Minnesota, votes on Super Tuesday — paving the way for Biden to capture a greater share of moderate Democratic votes against Bernie Sanders, who gained momentum and took over the delegate lead in the primary after wins in New Hampshire and Nevada last month. Sanders' surge and Biden's resurgence also pushed Pete Buttigieg and Tom Steyer from the presidential race over the weekend, amid pressure from top Democrats to consolidate behind a Sanders alternative. - Politico

No doubt Trump will be horrendously despicable.
I'll trust that turns more people away from Trump than toward him.

Not gonna happen. The best of intentions will get railed by his inability to frame a thought or sentence.
Nope. And Trump attacking someone as well liked as Biden will not play nearly as well as his attacks on Hillary.

It won’t . Joe better learn to toughen up . They have all been chomping at the bits , saying how they will beat Trump . First you have to deal one on one with him , at what he does best .

No he won't. Biden is a stumbling, incoherent, mess of a human being. It's obvious to anyone that has witnessed dementia that poor ole uncle Joe has it, or at least the early stages of it. I feel sorry for the guy, but he doesn't need to be our president.

Even if she showed strong, it was her first time out nationally, so this was her test run. I think she is wise enough to polish and define herself and her politics, if she chooses to continue into 2024. The fading away she will struggle with because she gave up her post to run her campaign. She will re-surface as a made over Dem or a converted Republican, but will have to find a away to stay relevant enough to re-invent herself since she is out of work. I thought she was the Dems answer from the get go, but they were playing who's turn is it, and she didn't want to play that game.

They dropped out to help Biden and hurt Sanders. So what? There is nothing wrong with that. It is more than appropriate.
Had some of the 16 repubs. been as respectful to the country in 2016, we could have avoided the whole Trump catastrophe.

It will turn off most everyone except the Trumpers who are already a lost cause.
