All I was doing was inform him that losing before the finals is worse than losing in the finals. Overall, I don't feel like comparing LeBron and Michael is fair, since they played in completely different eras. Honestly, I don't think Jordan had the same feel for the game like LeBron. I won't argue that Jordan is the most skilled 1v1 player of all time, but basketball is a 5v5 sport. He almost always makes the best basketball play. It doesn't make much sense to shoot a shot if someone who has a better shot than you is open. If that doesn't make you think a little, I encourage you to go visit LeBron vs Jordan stats facing elimination in the playoffs, or even when they are in an elimination game. LeBron carries a team in a way Jordan never did, but since it is in different eras, you really cannot compare them against each other.
Imo, to think that Jordan had more of an impact for his team winning games than LeBron is insane.
Because it’s not favorable to Lebron. Jordan never allowed his team to reach a 7th game in the Finals...always was THE reason they closed in 6. Lebron’s vastly superior team lost to the Mavs in 6. Force of will is timeless.

If you are going to use the Heat teams as a negative towards LeBrons career, would you not think that Jordan joining a 55 win Bulls team is worse than that? When he came back from his first retirement, the Bulls were still a very good team. Be honest, do you really think Jordan played better teams in the finals? Do you think if LeBron replaced him, he wouldn't have won those series? LeBron has shown his entire career that no matter what team he has, he will be competitive no matter what. You can't tell me Jordan was the same considering he left and his team went from 58 wins to 55 wins the very next season.
I’m not using it as a negative. I’m saying you’re wrong for saying Lebron played on bad teams. Lebron is too soft to have played in that era

Dirk was lights out that series.

The 2011 finals is the only thing that makes this conversation even close. Jordan was playing against a watered down league due to expansions/early retirements of the best players in the league, yet no one mentions it.

Nah. You need to downplay the league back then to even present an argument. It’s watered down NOW.

Please give me an example of LeBron playing on a good team. Jordan also played when zone defense was illegal. Do you really think LeBron James would not thrive in a era where you have to play man to man? That is insane. LeBron averaged 20-5-5 as a rookie when hand checking was legal anyways

I've played a game that looks nearly identical to this layout...

In the game the goal was to essentially create a virus that wiped out the world's population, this is so weird.
Plague Inc is one that is out right now. Wife downloaded it when coronavirus got started and beat the whole thing in like a week. You can go virus, bacteria, fungus, and a bunch of other types.

Defense, at all, is illegal in the NBA. Or at least nobody plays it. LeBron is a good player, but he would get his azz handed to him playing in the MUCH more physical NBA during MJ's time on the court.

Lol you’re right. Bronny never had any good teammates 🙄

My kids play that. They get disappointed when their disease doesn't infect the world fast enough. I think I need to take their chemistry set away.

Yep...that was the peak of my NBA watching...it's now down to zero.
Pretty much with you. It’s down to the best one and done on every team and everybody throws up a 3 pointer. Defense, setting picks and situational rebounds cut into the rec league style. That’s why a Doncik sticks out. He throws up the 3 pointers but also exhibits the fundamentals that made great players in any era (except defense).

If you truly believe the overall talent level was higher 30 years ago than it is now, you are not a fan of basketball.
Not of this basketball...cuz it’s trash 3 point hoisting rec league. I know you Generation Z or Millennials or whatever don’t acknowledge anything existed until you streamed it...but it did.
