Loved watching him and Malone play. Wouldn't disagree. I might argue a guy here or there (CP3 making a good case), but his career efficiency stats were so good and his prime years were absolutely off the charts.

John is a different breed and I think he's the most underrated player to be in the NBA.

1 guy in NBA history has hit 3k steals
1 guy in NBA history has hit 13k, 14k, 15k assists

It's ridiculous that it's the same guy, that he's under 6'2" and finished with over 10 assist per game for his average while also averaging over 13 points per game. 51.5% from the field for his career and a career 38.4% from 3?

I loved watching the dude play in the 90s really wish the Jazz had managed to pull an upset of the Bulls in one of those finals.

Maybe I should let you think on it. Let's start with not allowing traveling, carrying, or flopping. Maybe we can discuss a defensive 3 seconds rule.

Then, we can get into some X's and O's. Even Jeff Van Gundy this morning said that Houston's offense can be sore to the eyes because they dribble so much. But they can get away with it because they have two superstars at guard.

It's all still entertainment. We can all disagree on topics, but the NBA just wants to sell tickets and tv space. 99% of the world cannot do what NBA athletes can do with the ball, yet, they become lax with some of the basic rules because they want entertainment. That's also ok, but again, I don't have to like it. JMO.

100% with you on paragraph 2&3.

Bold: when has the nba not been that? It’s always been that. It’s more apparent now, because of tv, sm, and the media that surrounds it all.

Wow... you guys actually let another LeBron argument take root

It amazes me that a comment about how the NBA lets rules be broken turns into someone thinking that we are bashing Lebron. James Harden and Russell Westbrook are pretty good at getting away with it too. Maybe someone should post the video of Corey Brewer taking 7 steps from beyond the 3 point line and dunking it. It's a classic.

I was bashing Lebron 🤷‍♂️

Its funny that the same people that constantly throw darts at him when he makes a blunder They get called out, then they resort to “no we werent lbj hating”, we were nba hating. Lol bulljive, that fake window dressing aint fooling anyone.

Coronavirus is the LeBron of viruses.

Influenza is still MJ.

Coronavirus is the NBA basketball of viruses. Baseball and Soccer combined don't come close to basketball in virus form. I would rather catch a severe case of baseball only to find out that I caught soccer as well from a toilet seat that Mrs. Mullen sat on than catch a very mild case of NBA basketball.

I have watched the NBA since I was a kid, and I don't recall seeing many players get away with what James Harden does...repeatedly. There wasn't as much flopping in the late 80's because guys were literally hitting each other.

Tim Hardaway had a famous crossover. You should watch some of his highlights. He is very tight with his dribble and is not loose with the ball like they let current guys play. It's just a different game.

They’ve averaged almost the same FTAs per game over their careers and let’s not act like Jordan was perfect and never flopped. Revisionist history has pegged Jordan as perfect when in reality he never beat Bird, only beat the bad boy Pistons when they were old, and beat the “showtime” lakers with no KAJ. Meanwhile LeBron just flopped and complained to refs. That’s why he’s done as well as he has. Great insight
actual fouls vs. perceived fouls

You not liking it does not change things. It is your preference, not an objective definition.

Ask what a 1905 basketball fan thought basketball was. Or a 1930's football fan what football was. Your definition is not the 1 true definition of what a sport has to be, just as theirs was not, and mine won't be either.

There is no "true basketball".
