That's amazing because two days ago it looked like they were hiring the guy from Oregon. The article said, after his interview with Bama, the guy took all Oregon related information off his social media site. I don't remember his name but he came from Georgia to Oregon and has ties with the SEC. Strange world.

What did I say wrong? Our d-line is very very deep. Wanya-Trey-Kennedy-Cade-Wright is the top line in the SEC. Trey is the #1 guard in the country. Go watch what he did to the Cocks d tackle that will likely be a top10 pick in April.

Hyatt and Holiday are both laser verified 4.3 guys, with Hyatt easily could be a 4.2 guy at age 21. Didn't even bring up Callaway who is built like Waddle from Bama. Wideman would be the most dynamic dunker in college basketball next year, but I'm hoping he has a dynamic year on the field and focuses solely on football. Dee is 6'5 220 who could line up at RB. May not be a smooth route runner, but absolutely dynamic with the ball. Who does that sound like again?

Palmer absolutely has the tools to be a 3rd rounder, and Keyton is a much better WR prospect than Callaway. Gray game reminds me exactly of Swift, and Ty is a legit 4.3 guy. Bailey is generational, you can choose to believe otherwise. It'll just be another Hank take.

Where's the koolaid?

1. You’re saying Bailey is a “generational QB” before ever even taking a collegiate snap. A Generational QB is Peyton Manning, Trevor Lawrence, Tebow, deshaun Watson, cam Newton etc. so just the likelihood alone of that happening in general extremely rare.

2. Just because we have a lot of bodies on the DL does not mean it is the deepest DL in the SEC or even one of the top ones. we do not a proven pass rusher returning so ww will have to be relying on a lot of new comers to step up. We have some solid players in the interior DL but has anyone shown to be a real difference maker? Not yet.

3. Trey is amazing. That’s just a fact. (But unless i missed something) Cade isn’t for sure eligible and even if he was, he wasn’t very good for UGA this year. He was extremely heavy and slow footed. He could’ve been injured or maybe just needed a change of scenery. Furthermore i love the young guys like Wright and Morris but they aren’t perfect and will get better. We had some good moments last year especially in pass protection but there was a lot of bad too especially in the running game. I think we will have a good line yes but injuries will always happen and i don’t think we have the depth there or another elite OLmen besides trey to call it the best.

4. I don’t buy into those 40 times Bc i know how the camp and recruiting game works. Are they fast prospects? Yes but there’s a reason why MAYBE 1 or 2 guys run 4.2s at the combine each year. Also, being fast doesn’t mean great WR which is what Ruggs and waddle are so again just the general likelihood of any WR prospect living up to them is extremely rare. You are also underselling calloway bad. He opened up so much for Jennings and others underneath he just didn’t have a QB to hit him. If keyton was better he would’ve played more than him. He could become better yes, but he’s not there yet.

I like your optimism but the tape doesn’t back it up just yet and just being realistic in general for recruiting you’re counting guys as first rounders already like just looking at guys and being like “yup he’s Ruggs, he’s waddle, he’s tua and that’s just silly lol.

No one has done anything. Just taking a break but will leave you this last nugget for awhile. Ergen has been the catalyst in so much of the change. He is why Fulmer is in place and his value to the University has replace the other family. We are in very good hands.
He was also supposed to be the money behind our run at Gruden. How'd that work out :):)

From Rob Lewis:

Had a chance to catch up with five star Jabari Smith, the No. 5 player in 2021 after he wrapped up his official visit today. Nothing earth shattering as it’s early and he isn’t going to be making a decision anytime soon but he had a great trip.

He was raving about the arena and the atmosphere at the game yesterday. Really liked the coaching staff and the culture around the team. Liked what he heard from Rick about how they would use him in the system.

Like pretty much every recruit we speak with he mentioned how impressed he and his father were with player development.

Mentioned that he would almost certainly be back next fall for another official visit.

I would expect the Vols to be major players in this one.

GeauxVols subscribed to that theory...at least the Mizzou automatic loss portion. I get plenty wrong but Bryant wasn’t one of them. Never bought the Cam Newton Lite mythology that had some posters wailing about us not getting involved in that sweepstakes.

Honestly have no clue what I said on the subject, if anything. I'm sure I'd rather they not have gotten him.

Only declaration I made was "no way we're losing 7 games".
I may or may not have been a little nervous about my forecast around 2 games in 😁

One day Barnes will sell the development of JJJ from freshman year to finished product

I didn't say Hyatt or Holliday is Ruggs, just said the offer the same top end speed. And who knows if Ruggs is any good, the Bengals Ross broke the 40 record and I have more catches than him so far. Callaway got a Waddle comp from me because he has that same lower body build like a tailback.

The d-line proved to be very good for a bunch of first year guys. Middleton, Solomon and Emerson. Throw in Butler and Simmons. Gooden was our best guy when Shy and Co. were here. Not to mention adding Thomas and Bailey to the room. Hence I said deepest line. Emerson was our most active lineman and he may not even start, we are deep.

Harrison is generational, I've seen enough of him to know this. Ask any coach in the state of Georgia who's competed against him since 8th grade. I didn't have to see Trevor take a snap at Clemson to know the kid was the next coming. Nor did it take a rocket scientist to see Kirby is an idiot for not putting Fields on the field, who threw for 40 tds and 1 pick in his first season starting.

He moved us back 1 win for 2019, after Mizzou got Bryant. Said Bryant made that game an "automatic loss" and we'd have to flip every player on the roster first.

What a turn of events.
I just want to remind everyone that I said all along Bryant and Dooley were both mediocre at best. Still true.

The $5 million man pulling in 5 stars. I heard he even plays 5 guys at a time on the court.

Coincidence?

That's where he lost me. I like this team, but every position group is not going to live up to our wildest dreams.
