2020 Presidential Race

Are any of you that usually lean right considering a little operation chaos and voting for Bernie is your states primary?
I'm actually pulling for Joe to win a few Southern states and for Bloomberg to have a good showing in NY...I want a brokered convention..cause honestly I don't think any of them beats Trump and as a political system junkie I'd just like to witness one in my lifetime. Sick of the coronations

I get that but I think crazy bernie has the least chance to beat him, I think they are headed to a brokered convention either way. Best case scenario is brokered convention but Bernie has the most delegates

Trumps Epic, Memetic India Visit
•Feb 25, 2020

India is an incredible looking country.. I'd like to visit and maybe take a train ride....I guess India and Pakistan both being our allies while feuding with themselves is a cause for reluctance in past Presidential visits...

Why do you think European governments are just naturally more competent than ours? I see no reason to think our universal health care would be worse than their universal health care.
Our education is. Our justice system is. Depending on who you believe our EPA is. Why is it hard to believe?

The government has yet to meet something they can not screw up.

They definitely have better death panels. If you ask many of them over they will criticize they the very things you are trying to praise.

Be careful. You might just get what you vote for.
Bernie will probably mean a Trump victory but you’re correct. We could have an economic meltdown that propels Bernie into office ( it’s happened before).
The bigger concern is that even if Trump wins, you have a presidential nominee that is sympathetic to the most brutal, murderous regimes in human history. So, victory for Trump is yet another example of conservatives winning the battle but losing the war as they have been doing for the last 80 or so years.

President Trump will be reelected and the GOP will control both Houses of Congress. Dumocrats cut their own throats with the impeachment farce and nominating a communist like Bernie Sanders will finish the destruction of the Dumocrat Party.

Probably so but the Overton window has been moved towards a candidate who is sympathetic to the USSR. Like I said, winning the battle but losing the war.

The conventions back in the 50's and 60's were riveting, must see tv. The Republican ones in 1976 and 80 were, too. The gold medal goes to Chicago Dems in 1968.

Yep. My bad.
If you get time, read up on the 68 election. It was very interesting. George Wallace ran as an Independent and won 5 states of the old South and 46 electoral votes. Nixon and Humphrey were neck and neck in the popular vote .

Yep. My bad.
The 1956 election is the first that I actually remember watching because my mother worked in the local area for Estes Kefauver, who was a Senator from Tennessee. He was chosen as Democrat Adlai Stevenson's running mate by an actual convention vote. I was 7, and got interested in politics because of that.

Kefauver donned a Davy Crockett coonskin cap at some point in the convention, as I remember it. Eisenhower/Nixon won big. It was a rematch of 1952, except a different VP nominee for the Dems..
