Where should I eat bbq at in Memphis next week. Specifically ribs or brisket.
Cant go wrong with Central BBQ.

But you should check out Tom’s BBQ down in South Memphis if you’ve never been there. It is awesome.

Everything there is great. Especially the rib tips

Definitely. Most of those medications have been around since late 18, early 19 hundreds. Were always considered a good thing until some legalized criminals found a way to exploit them and prey on people that were susceptible.

And now every news anchor, talk show host and politician is going ride that mutha till it's dead. And to hell with any real cases of suffering in their path.
Heroin was a trade name registered to Bayer.

Here ya go. Can't quote from the old thread, just scroll down to my post on the page.

And if you're ever bored and want to see the best in humanity, read thru this and you'll never look at any of these morans the same way again.
Seriously, you've got no idea how good these people really are.

I’ve read some of @SweetasSoda post to you and kinda suspected something with your pancreas. I’ve got a cousin that has battled and been in and out of the hospital for over a year at the least. Think they put a stint in for her, but she still has flare ups from time to time.

And all these morans (excluding the ladies) that stepped up for you, wow. What a fan base. GO VOLS

Oh, we’re morans too, on occasion!

Some have an unnatural dislike for JG. I wonder how many were all aboard the JG train when he committed and thought he was gonna lead us to greatness. If I wasn't so lazy I would go back and find their posts and bump them, but I am, so I won't. @Bassmaster_Vol is good at that though.
I was a big time believer in JG...and now I am the opposite.

It's unfortunate because they're ignoring the real issue, addiction in this country.

There's nothing evil about pain relievers, they've just been the in thing recently. They'll fight this till it's gone and then we'll move to the next whatever.
Just like we've done for decades. Coke, crack, heroin, meth..and so on. Battle each one but never the real cause.

And if real people in pain get steamrolled in the process, oh well.
The real evil is that society is more worried about someone getting high than they are human suffering. I see these poor people every day, and yes I see abusers...and I don't care...addicts gonna addict..I know because I was one. Not one hurting person should be forced to suffer, in any way, just to keep a million morons from killing their fool selves.

It infuriates me...I can not describe to you how much the phrase "war on opiates" or even the general "War on drugs" sickens me.

Addicts that don't want help are gonna addict no matter what you do...like I said I know because I was one. Not one law ever made ever stopped me from getting drunk or high for almost a decade.

Addiction is the enemy, and you can't save an addict by force..

Yeah good luck with that. Dont fret about being a dick. Chances are very high that they know something that they arent disclosing that you'll find within 3 weeks that it's not working properly despite having an inspection. I've owned 4 properties and they all came with that lovely surprise. The current house? The damper for the HVAC zone were unplugged and blown yet the sellers said we were "taking advantage of their situation". For the fourth time, we were nice. Got hosed. again. :/
Reminds me of that hilarious episode of Andy Griffith where everybody was gonna make all kinds of money selling their houses, and buying new ones cheap.

Was just in Puerto Rico two weeks ago. First thing you will notice is chain link fences everywhere. Also lots of rod iron fences and gates. Driving is an adventure cause rode signs are considered a suggestion not necessarily a command. At night at least you have to be buzzed in to quick stops. I was surprised at how little english is spoken considering how much they want to be the 51st state. My perspective is from the more rural areas as we were doing disaster relief work.
Lol..."rod iron"...there is a new one for the lexicon.

Or am I the only one that is a old nerd and knows it is "wrought iron"? 🤔

I'm a Rendevouz guy. I know, they're different than classic, but that's why I love them. But in the end, Memphis is to BBQ what New Orleans is to seafood. Just go into a place where you see some cars parked outside, not a chain of course, it's going to be great.

Off topic but idc... after a week long trip taking my gf from Jacksonville to New Orleans, then to stay with her family in Dallas, I'm leaving to go home. She starts flight attendant training for the next 6 weeks here and will then after will be stationed here in Dallas. I've never connected with someone like I have with her. Long distance is going to be tough and now I'm (even more) sad
Long distance is tough, but not impossible. If she's the one, it'll work out regardless. Enjoy the moments together, and don't resent her for her career. You'll be fine!

Read a piece during recession. There was one place in the entire US that was more recession proof than any other. Would you like to guess where it is? DFW.

I recall hearing piece on radio years later, about how Texas small towns are recruiting workers to come work. I know folks from ETN who've moved there to work in OI.

Not saying its land of milk and honey. Just saying, if you want a good job. May not be a bad place. Just be aware, everyone says 'Texas' a lot, a whole lot. Also, that's where the Lincoln Navigator guy is from, cant stand that guy.
