Ecmo? English please for us civilians.
Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, also known as extracorporeal life support, is an extracorporeal technique of providing prolonged cardiac and respiratory support to persons whose heart and lungs are unable to provide an adequate amount of gas exchange or perfusion to sustain life.

Basically life support.

Antibiotics attack bacteria, not viruses.

Also, maybe there is some value in following the Levitical dietary laws...

I was making the point that due to the reliance on and overuse of antibiotics in society we’ve weakened our immune systems to the point that we cannot naturally fight off anything, be it virus or bacteria or even fluctuations in our own microbiome.

Add in that as an overall society our eating habits in general are terrible and don’t support our immune system either. If more folks would spend as much time thinking about correctly fueling their body as they do on mundane things we’d be a healthier people.

How effective is the flu-shot from your experience? I'm not anti-vaxxer or anything like that. It just seems like every year there's people I know that say they got their flu-shot and several end up still getting the flu.
I'm probably not the best person to ask, I physically do not handle the shots well. I've had reactions in the past that were beyond feeling bad.
That being said we have the highest ever vaccination rates and 2 out of the last 4 years very bad flu seasons.
There is a reason drug manufactures don't do double blind studies on vaccinations. I have a problem with how their studies are done and reported. It's like asking a scorpion to self report results of his stings. Look up ASIA related to vaccines. Lots of new studies coming out. Vaccines are a 4.2B a year industry now.
Plus the cdc takes the reports that counter safety, clump them together and put expert panels together to find these studies untrue, the peer review was insufficient, blah blah blah..... Vaccinate.
I'm biased.

My wife had a bad reaction to a flu vaccine, she was in such discomfort for so long she'll never get another one and I don't blame her. The only time I ever had one I ended up contracting pneumonia, may have been a coincidence but I never get sick, I may get a cold every other year but never flu.

I've been told by some health Care professionals in the family that they don't completely trust the flu shots, in fact one is convinced they are little more than a money maker for the company that produces them.

Translation: Finally, the internal video of the Wuhan Crematorium came out. All the bodies were packed in corpses and lined up, waiting to be incinerated. The laborers also sang Jackie Chan's song at night-it looks like my country is infected ~

Wouldn’t be possible here IMO

CDC and Fema already have the terminology Medical Martial Law in their playbooks for pandemic control.

NGB provides the loophole for law enforcement with only logistical support from active duty branches and posse comitatus doesn’t come into play.

FDA’s Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC) chooses the flu vaccine viruses for the United States. Which strains of the flu that go into the vaccine are typically determined in March, shortly after production begins in time for the fall/winter season. There is some educated guessing into which strains are predicted to circulate through the community later that same year, so there is a risk that some years the flu vaccine might not be as effective as they hoped. The flu shot is NOT a guarantee that you won't get the flu but if you contract a strain of the flu that was in the shot it can greatly lessen the severity of the illness.

As of 15 hours ago the CDC is saying that the 2019/2020 flu season has yet to peak. You have to wait until the peak before you can determine the vaccines effectiveness.
U.S. flu deaths hit 14,000, haven’t peaked yet, CDC says

Check out the current numbers for Flu 14,000 deaths to 26 million infections in the US. 14,000/26,000,000 = 5.38 or .05% death rate. Still allegedly higher than Covid-19 at .02% death rate.

This is absurd. They sent home the very few hospital staff that came into contact with the woman but they are just assuming the Uber driver couldn't have contracted it. WTF?! They were both confined in a tiny space together for what was likely longer than 5 minutes and they let the driver off. They did suspend his Uber account though, but still.

Oh I am sure the laws exist. The populace won’t go along with it.

If I were that I Uber driver I would be pissed. Uber has an amazing positive PR opportunity here. Publicly say you will pay the guy to self quarantine for the next 30 days. I am not saying they should feel obligated to do so. But it would be a hell of a way to gain positive PR.

Here is some hope...

American Rebecca Fraser who tested positive on the Diamond Princess cruise on February 7th and was moved to a Japanese hospital for quarantine is doing great. She initially had a light cough and maybe a low grade fever at one point but that has since subsided. She is still testing positive for Covid-19 so she has to remain in the hospital until she tests negative.
