My point was Bachman didn’t actually write the book, King did, but used the name Bachman as a vessel.
Most Christians believe John wrote the book but was inspired by God.
The long walk or road work are my favorite Bachman books though by far.
Dark half is my favorite King book.

Ah, I was taking it a bit too literally.
It's been a looong time but while I think I liked TDH fine I'm not bringing up any special memories. I very much liked The Long Walk though. IIRC it was in fact his first story. (though no first published) I recall repeated rumors of a movie adaptation but to my knowledge nothing's come of it.
I just watched a 47 year old +influenza A pt last 3 days, he ended up on ecmo, and died. I've never seen such a horrible cat scan of a chest and they just keep coming in positive. 6 in 2 weeks, 1 passed.
I can stress enough the importance of washing your hands and not being around large crowds right now. This is also a bad flu season.
Id have to check out the stats. The 6 that came in had 102- 103 fevers, heart rates in the 150's they were really really sick. Our hospital only had 6 positives in all of last year for A. Now, 6 in 2 weeks? Id have to say no because 4 out of 6 were vaccinated but all ended up in the ICU, Including the one that passed.Has it been determined if this year's flu shot was a good match for this year's flu?
Ecmo? English please for us civilians.I just watched a 47 year old +influenza A pt last 3 days, he ended up on ecmo, and died. I've never seen such a horrible cat scan of a chest and they just keep coming in positive. 6 in 2 weeks, 1 passed.

How effective is the flu-shot from your experience? I'm not anti-vaxxer or anything like that. It just seems like every year there's people I know that say they got their flu-shot and several end up still getting the flu.Id have to check out the stats. We've also had 2 cases of Gillian barre that were vaccine mediated in this season. Those are rare.

Antibiotics attack bacteria, not viruses.Using HIV meds...not drugs most folks have encountered before so it does make sense people could have a positive reaction to them.
That brings up another question. I’ve understood for decades that bats and rats carry diseases since being told that as a child, but I don’t recollect all these animal to human virus outbreaks in the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s.
Have these bat viruses mutated to make human transmission easier or has society done this to ourselves with the massive reliance and overuse of antibiotics in everything, to the point our own immune systems are confused and virtually useless?![]()
Yea, that's what the mandatory quarantine is, mob rule.
I think you understand the ridiculousness of your position when carried to extreme.
I also understand your reluctance to concede that, as with almost all things, there is a reasonable and rational line.
Because then you would have to deal with how that line is established and adjusted.
So, in hog's world: A plane carrying 220 people from Wuhan lands in Nashville. Hog meets them and says, it would be nice if you guys would quarantine yourselves, but your individual freedoms over the next 14 days are more important than the unnecessary and unknowable risks you present to millions of innocent people. 210 right minded people immediately and voluntarily quarantine themselves. Ten, for ultimately selfish reasons, avoid the request to quarantine.
As opposed to, in a rational and reasonable world: A plane carrying 220 people from Wuhan lands in Nashville. They are informed that, even though individual rights are highly respected and protected, because of the unnecessary and avoidable risk they pose to millions of innocent people, they will be placed in quarantine for 14 days. 210 say of course, that's only appropriate. Ten say damn, that's not right, but are forced into quarantine against their wishes.
The difference is that there is documented history of vaccines being used experimentally or resulting in unintended infections. There is always that small contingent that would buy into a conspiracy theory: that they will be mistreated, they they will be experimented upon, that they are worse off getting treatment. We see it with immunization shots, not surprising we see it with a scary new virus.
