Yep. Pitbulls account for 66% of all dog related fatal attacks in the US, while only being 6.5% of the total US dog population.
Pitbulls are freakin dangerous, like a ticking time bomb. You never know when they'll go ballistic and attack someone.
I think any dog has the potential to go Buddy Rich if triggered, but the Pits, Rots, Chows have the size to do the real damage. There's a reason that many homeowners insurance companies will either exclude animal liability or not write you if you have these 'dangerous' breeds.
