All these moves in last 48 hrs. Coaches know this is Muscamps last year.

Defensive Line coach John Scott Jr. going to Penn St.

Running Backs coach Thomas Brown going to the Rams.

O-Cord and Wide Receivers Coach Bryan McClendon leaving for Steelers

Director of Player Personnel Matt Lindsay moving on to Ole Miss.

No one can blame anyone for leaving their job to pursue a better opportunity. That said, South Carolina has never, in a way, at any level, represented a better opportunity than Rocky Top. Ever. Because no matter the job or the money, you still have to leave the beautiful Smoky Mountains for Columbia SC.

Ouch! I always want them to outdo Clemson for the SEC's sake. Going to be hard for them but then there's Georgia setting the standard for doing less with more. Translation: Richt 2.0

It certainly looks like chaos has hit the SC program. I wonder what the players who signed with them are thinking now. They're the ones I feel bad for.

You know things are bad when people are leaving you for Ole Miss.

Pffft, OP. Wishful thinking. This amount of turnover means absolutely nothing.

Turnover rates are very high for Assistant Coaching positions.

Take Alabama, for instance. From an article written last January:

"But over the past handful of seasons — since the start of the College Football Playoff era, more or less — Saban’s staff turnover has reached near-annual levels. Consider the following rate of turnover:"

Offensive Coordinator — 4 in the past 4 seasons
Quarterbacks Coach — 4 in the past 4 seasons
Wide Receivers Coach — 4 in the past 4 seasons
Running Backs Coach — 3 in the past 3 seasons
Offensive Line Coach — 3 in the past 5 seasons
Tight Ends Coach — 3 in the past 4 seasons

and...

"Alabama on Friday announced its 2019 staff featuring seven new coaches for 10 spots."

Sorry to rain on your parade, dude, but Muschamp's coaching turnover (3 coaches) really means Jack Squat.

An intelligent rather than a gloating post. THANK YOU. We have been through such dumpster fire years ourselves for a while now, that involved HC revolving doors for us. Let us not forget that Miss Football Misfortune doesn't care who you are. The B---h will jump into anyone's bed as she sees fit, however unwelcome she is. She is nothing to gloat about no matter which bed she's in. We could find ourselves being visited by her again, you know as she's sort of cyclic.

Sorry to rain on your parade but there is a difference in turnovers at Bama vs SC. Bama is not a sinking ship and SC is. Bama plugs in coaches and keeps rolling right along. SC plugs is coaches and keeps losing. Muschamp is on borrowed time and Saban leaves when he is ready,

Fine. You made me waste more time on this.

Tennessee coaching staff had 40% turnover (4 out of 10 assistant coaching positions) from 2018 to 2019 - Year 1 and Year 2 of JP.

Were we a "sinking ship" then?

Give me a break, dude. USC losing 3 coaches is no big whoop.

2018 Tennessee Assistant Coaching Staff:

OFFENSE

Tyson Helton, offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach

Will Friend, offensive line coach

Robert Gillespie, running backs coach

David Johnson, wide receivers coach

Brian Niedermeyer, tight ends coach

DEFENSE

Kevin Sherrer, defensive coordinator/inside linebackers

Chris Rumph, co-defensive coordinator/outside linebackers

Charles Kelly, special teams coordinator/safeties coach

Terry Fair, cornerbacks coach

Tracy Rocker, defensive line coach

2019 Tennessee Assistant Coaching Staff:

OFFENSE

Jim Chaney (Offensive Coordinator)

Chris Weinke (Quarterbacks)

Will Friend (Offensive line)

David Johnson (Running backs)

Tee Martin (Assistant Head Coach/Passing Game Coordinator/Wide receivers)

Brian Niedermeyer (Tight ends)

DEFENSE

Kevin Sherrer (Special Teams Coordinator/Inside linebackers)

Chris Rumph (Co-Defensive Coordinator/Outside linebackers)

Derrick Ansley (Defensive Coordinator/Defensive backs)

Tracy Rocker (Defensive line)

Bad enough that we have to endure Dawg and Gator trash on here but now we have USC Jr posters. Just don't get it, I never go to other schools sites..

Tennessee upgraded with those hires , SC ,not so much. Its a sinking ship. The only reason Muschamp is still there is because of his buyout 19.4 mil. If it was anything reasonable ,he would have been gone this year. He is not still there because he is a great coach. You can defend SC all you want

I wonder if Five star (Burch I think is his name) defensive lineman is regretting signing with SC now that his position coach is leaving?

What matters is who they replace the coaches with. Coaches come to Bama because they are the best at what they do and they know it will help them get promoted. If USCjr hires coaches like Butch did in Larry Scott and Mike Canales, then it's a good sign it's a sinking ship.

Maybe we can pick up Muffchamp on the cheap for a open defensive position after next season?

The problem will be when he goes to GA as DC next year. Kirby and Chump could do damage w Defense and 5 stars.
