Ask Behr anything about anything not related to food

I only get steak at Texas Roadhouse - cook at home mostly -- my SIL always wastes money on salmon or shrimp there and the portion is small for the price of it imo
You talking about getting a good steak or Texas Roadwhore? They're not bad for mediocre beef but damn, I ain't paying TRW $30 for anything.

Behr said Tilapia is a terrible fish
Wild tilapia (if it’s truly wild, and you can trust the documentation) is great, in the kinda mild, inoffensive way. I don’t buy (or eat) farmed tilapia.

The problem is knowing if the label in the store or the menu in the restaurant is honest. (Like trying to buy red snapper.)

Never tried it, the only experience I’ve had with mackerel, my parents fed it to the cats in Jamaica. Not being a smartass, truth. So I don’t know.
I actually used to shoot Ciero Mackerel with a free shaft. Takes two people because the shaft goes through. I would grab the fish and the other person would watch where the shaft went. Didn't do this in murky water and no deeper than 40'. If I used a pole spear it was easier. We would steak them up and grill them same day.....wow!!!

I love a good rib eye but I am picky. The local restaurant here in Madisonville, KY is owned by a guy from Knoxville and gets fish and mussels in twice a week.

Yes. Was an awesome hobby.

Oh wow, never been, always wanted to (except for my pesky habit of “can’t hurt a fly” syndrome.) Dad bought me and my oldest brother, our first pair of professional goggles and flippers set, when I graduated HS. We moved to Jamaica almost two months after. He taught us free diving (amateurs), taught us the true beauty of the oceans.

Not specifically Jamaican, but a tribute to a guy who loved the oceans and fought for their preservation (Jean-Jacques Cousteau Jacques-Yves Cousteau and his research vessel RV Calypso):

(edited to correct my inability to keep hyphenated French names straight)

Once you get some depth to your free diving ability, it is truly a spiritual experience.
