'20 FL WR Malachi Wideman (Tennessee signee)

And Wideman committed to FSU yet they still continued to recruit both, but one counts and the other doesnā€™t???
So thatā€™s how it works , only count the ones that end up signing and say we was 7 for 7. And DW wasnā€™t a counter??
Sure.

Great finish to a great class, but to say we were 100% successful is false.
You count someone who never committed to us as a flip? Hard to beat.

So we get a Justin Hunter clone and a Kelvin Benjamin clone. Bettttttttttttttt

Wideman has better lateral movement than Hunter. Better agility period and hes pretty damn close to him in straight line speed.

Beckwith has everything Benjamin had while faster and with having more running power. These rankings are absolutely wrong about Dee Beckwith. He's easily a top 100 player.

Unbelievable we pulled these two kids.

We were already set with Hyatt and Calloway with the strong possibility of Holiday turning WR eventually.

Not trying to dispute what you're saying here, but pre injury Hunter was one of the best deep threats in UT history.

From sanguine this morning...

...

There was some hope he might stick with the Noles as he and his family kept things close to the vest. Ultimately he chose to sign with Tennessee where both football and basketball programs are fairly terrible. The reasoning doesnā€™t make much sense other than maybe he figured he would get more playing time at Tennessee in terms of basketball? He was only rated a three-star basketball recruit and was mostly known for his incredible in-game dunks. Whether or not he could be a impact player at somewhere like FSU remained to be seen.

LOL. Pretty rich for a Florida State guy to call our football and basketball programs trash.

Football over the past 2 seasons
Tennessee: 13-12
Florida State: 11-14

Basketball since 2017-8 season
Tennessee: 69-22
Florida State: 71-23

FSU plays in a tougher conference in basketball and we play in a tougher conference in football, so you can probably say slight edge to us in football and slight edge to FSU in basketball, but mostly our programs look like mirror images of each other over the past few years. If we're "pretty terrible" (and we're not), then FSU is logically also "pretty terrible."

People in glass houses ....

Havenā€™t seen anyone else talking about counting flips, just some saying we were 7 for 7 signing.
Clearly a very random pulled from air #, when we sign 24-25 out of how many offers?
Iā€™ll allow the enthusiasm today though, it was a great finish to a great class!

I refuse to give in!

You know I am just giving you a hard time but not every coach on your staff is going to be an ace recruiter. We got a top 10 class we did have our usual negavols that were complaining about how horrible our class was going to be last May. HAHA! Not you of course but you know who they are.

We targeted 40-50 high priority prospects knowing full well it wasnā€™t possible (or legal) to land them. The 7 were the most realistic possibilities and consistent with whatā€™s been posted on this board and paysites. Thanks for ALLOWING us to be happy! Sumbuddyā€™s trying to con their way into Heaven. šŸ˜Ž

I know. But unlike Rocker, I donā€™t trust Weinke as a coach either. Our starting QB regressed under Weinke. I have no confidence in him whatsoever

I expect Malachi Wideman to sign with FSU football. Tennessee is a dumpster fire in both basketball and football. Oregon is clear across the country and itā€™s rare for Florida kids to go that far. Ole Miss has a new head coach that doesnā€™t have the best reputation and their basketball team is terrible. Wideman has had the longest relationship with wide receiver coach Ron Dugans and FSU basketball coach Leonard Hamilton. I think he stays committed and signs with FSU.

FSU football signed 17 of its 18 commits during the early signing period in December. Four-star wide receiver Malachi Wideman was the lone exception and now we know why. The two-star (sic) athlete stayed ā€˜committedā€™ to the Noles while choosing to visit the likes of Washington State, Oregon, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

There was some hope he might stick with the Noles as he and his family kept things close to the vest. ...However, if youā€™re going to lose a player, wide receiver is a position most young players are not going to be impact players at for a while it at all. The bust rate is extremely high, and the fact Wideman was going attempt to play two sports in college means the probability of him not becoming an impact player is even higher.

lol. there's a "clarity" filter in photoshop that gets used on player photos allll the time because it boosts contrast and saturation and makes the guys muscles pop. Some people get in the habit of using it on everything and it looks hella terrible on women and older folks bc it accentuates every single wrinkle, hair, acne, etc. kinda looks like what happened there.
