My stance on his character.... If coach Pruitt is good with talking him then I'm good with taking him. He's the best judge of character in this situation.
I wonder what other fans would say about us, but having watched so many videos and press conferences of Pruitt and read/listened to so many of our coach’s speeches, I really do think they are good, ethical men. I don’t get that vibe from Kirby or Lane or a lot of other coaches. It feels like he’s just a kid who hates recruiting. Little immature, no steady male figurehead. When I look at Kirby, Lane, and Pruitt I see only one man I’d want leading my boy.
Serious question after roughly a week of following his recruitment: why does everyone insist that he's so unpredictable? UGA LOI aside, we visited him last week, invited him to visit, he came, and then went home. Nothing out of the ordinary. Plus all of the "will he wont he" this week has been speculation by analysts not him announcing one place and then changing his mind.
He seems to have some behavior issues, but his "day to day" unpredictability seems to be overblown IMO

Wow, do you know what his favorite color and food is? Sure sounds like you know him personally and have had long, intimate conversations with him......
I knew we had several armchair QBs and coaches in here, but the emergence of the armchair psychologists is a new one.. This thread will be epic in VolNation lore before this is all over...
I still think that’s going way too far when 99.99% of us here have absolutely no clue as to any details of what he has done to earn this “flawed” reputation.

There is PLENTY out there about his emotional state. Just read his interviews.
Read what Buck said about him too.
You don't have to have a face to face heart to heart with the kid. He's hurting and he's confused about everything...
Recruiting process is hard enough as it is. Then this kid has different disposition plus his heart is still broken about his grandfather.
Plus the teams have their own medical staff, and training rooms. So it's not like they don't care about the players at all.I get it, but $55,000 for 6 months of football isn't bad money if you are under 25 and think you will even be able to get a couple years on a NFL practice squad.
I had passed on what are perceived as character issues. But when he does not show up for visits and blows our coaches appointments off is him trying to show our staff who is boss. No player is worth that. Football is a team sport and this kind of behavior will alienate teammates and staff.Wish some of y’all would quit speculating on this kids character so much. It has been reported that his character issues - while any reports obviously bring some cause for concern - have largely been overblown, likely by salty fans and salty reporters. He’s 17 or 18 years old. I had at least 5 parties broken up by cops in high school. Nothing serious ever went down, but that didn’t stop the gossiping parents. Maybe one or two posters here know the god’s honest truth about this kid’s off the field issues, but those posters are much too decent to spread such information. Get him on campus. Get him a fresh start with what seem to be truly great teachers and men of character to guide him.
And to those who think we shouldn’t taken him because of rumors of character flaws - GTFOH!
