'20 TX RB Zachary Evans

Is Edwards the Bama commit? I wonder if that would cause Bama to turn up the heat if Edwards flipped to UGA.
That is related to what I consider one of the dumbest quotes I've ever seen. That is that I didn't win because I didn't want it enough. Do you really think anyone wanted to be president more than Hillary? I think it would be impossible for anyone to want something more than I would want Salma Hayek. Somehow I've about decided that ain't going to happen.

Since he can't sign if he comes here he won't be a counter this class. Wouldn't he be a blue shirt?
Come on, man! You’re better than this! Get your head out of the horse’s patoot and pay attention! Lol!

Seriously, he can’t blueshirt now since he took an official visit. He’s considered a recruited prospect.

I have no idea what you are talking about 😂. I was just confused because Bama had a different Edwards and I thought they might be flipping. I didn't know Bamas Edwards already signed and that D Edwards was the one who visited UGA.

My point was he won't sign, numbskull. My theory is he may be able to be counted on 2021.

Duh!! Your theory is wrong, numbskull. Only way he can count to 2021 is to blueshirt or greyshirt. Not a blueshirt candidate and definitely won’t be greyshirting.

@secking please clarify for me. You insinuate that Kirby/GA has moved on from Evans for academic and other reasons but it's been reported that he's visiting this GA weekend. Why would they bring him in if he wasn't a take?
Others reporting he is visiting, haven’t seen someone from Ga side actually reporting he is visiting just acknowledging others reporting it. Dell still wants him, thinks he can be the mentor he needs. Wish him the best, he needs to leave everyone back in Texas wherever he ends up...

Twenty-five caps the # of new scholarships you actually use each year, not the NLI, though isn't it?

Pretty sure he can play this fall
Yes definitely play this fall but since he's not signing I wonder if there is a way to count him on the '21 class. As has been pointed out he's not a blue shirt candidate because he's visited. It's an odd situation as I don't recall a recruited player not signing.

You are right, my rent did not really fit your post all that well. It's just that I see many times on here the belief that just turning up the pressure on a recruit is all that is needed to close the deal.

Yep and will be visited by Pruitt evidently. But he's not going to sign which makes it weird.
Still taking a scholarship (making him an initial counter) and he will sign a FAA (making him a signee). So he will count against both limits like any other recruit.

Signing an NLI is only one form of signing.

Edit: 3rd Degree'd

You can only count forward (the IC, not as a signee) if you blueshirt. You can't be recruited, take a Fall scholly, and be counted forward in any manner.

Only other option is grayshirting and that is definitely not happening.

Solution to the problem. Dell can just join TN as RB coach and he can mentor Evans and Evans plays for RB coach he initially wanted too lol

Wiltfong on Evans. Also predicted Wideman to UT.
Oh, Zachary Evans ... just when I think I have the pulse of the recruitment, another development happens to remind me it’s unpredictable. On Sunday night I thought Evans would end up at Tennessee where he just wrapped up his official visit or back to Georgia where some sources said Evans was still leaning despite being released from his letter-of-intent earlier this month. Maybe that intel is fine and good but it seems Evans could also take his last official visit of the process this coming weekend to Southern Cal.
Here is what we know for sure at this point: Evans took officials to LSU and Texas A&M during the fall and returned to the Aggies campus the Sunday before the Early Signing Period where he chose Georgia without ever taking an official. Evans was supposed to announce for the Bulldogs at the Under Armour game but postponed it and was ultimately released from his LOI. Ole Miss got the first official after the dead period and then Tennessee this weekend. I can’t make a pick. My 247Sports Crystal Ball remains foggy for the Houston (Texas) North Shore back who can’t even sign on NSD because you’re only allowed one LOI, which means this saga could continue until Evans just walks on the campus of the school of his choosing in the summer. If he shows up in Athens this weekend instead of USC, that will be my 247Sports Crystal Ball forecast.
