Kevin Sherrer, ILB and ST coach, to NY Giants

I wouldn't mind seeing Vernon Hargreaves Sr as our ILB Coach, he has a wealth of experience in the Southeast. He has produced lots of good LBs.

My only concern with him would be recruiting but he might be similar to what Sherrer was as a recruiter.

Other names that come to mind....

Raymond Woodie (FSU)
Kevin Simon (VFL/Grad.Asst)
Jeff Coons (Ole Miss)

I'm only mentioning names I think are feasible. I would love to see us swing big and go after some elite program guys but don't see it..

We don't bargain bin shop here no more, and you have plenty of proof of that from last off season. So it's no longer called swinging for the fence it's just referred to as making a coaching hire. Big name coaches and good ones they want to work here for CJP and ADPF.

Sorry NOT a Colton Jumper fan. Thought he was the worst LB in the history of Tennessee Football. Before you bring up his number of total tackles don't ! How about the total number of his miss tackles or tackles 20 yards passed the line of scrimmage ? I was so glad when he left school. Ok rant over.

Isn't Jumper playing For Saints , thought I saw highlight him intercepting a pass in the endzone. Was early in year maybe preseason. I don't follow NFL as much as CFB.

Well I was talking about his play / on field performance during his time at Tennessee. But even a blind dog finds a bone once and awhile.

If the "worst LB in the history of Tennessee football" was able to get some run with NFL teams then we must have the most ridiculous history of LB's ever!

So you haven’t found you bone yet. He was the best mlb we had at the time and turned out to be good enough to play for the NFL team which finished second to the 49niners.

I don't really give a rats a** who he works for...He worked for him when we hired him last time and he stunk up the place...He can stay down there for all I care.

You understand that coordinating a defense is different than being a position coach, right? Sal has been good at the latter, but bad at the former. The poster was suggesting we hire him as the latter. Follow now?

I knew what he was talking about from the start and if you had read what was said you would know that...Follow now?

Not really, he has only played pre season and has been on IR 99 % of the other time. But if your a fan then cheer him on. But for me I expect more from a D1 player in the SEC when ticket prices are so high.
