That makes zero sense because he does not even have a recruiting position šŸ˜‚
He was pretty stout in building relationships with recruits...same as Osovet. And he went on the road when we were between coaches.

Osovet went on the road, Simon has never been on the road to recruit. Sure he has conversations with recruits on their visits and was key in locking in Henry last year, but no he does not have a ā€œrecruiting positionā€ on the team.

Osovet went THIS year. Think Staley went last year. Simon’s Director of Player Development. No it’s not a recruiting ā€œpositionā€ but he’s involved in the recruiting process. Shoving oranges and apples into a semantic smoothie here.

I have found that in my opinion the steaks are not better.... that's all I ever order.. just my opinion
Wow, I would never confuse a RC steak with a LH steak. But you have to order Med-Rare, Med-Rare +, steak will cook on the plate at RC. If you cook well done shoe leather taste like shoe leather everywhere. JMO, everyone is entitled to their own.

Not sure how a thread about a new ILB coach turned into a debate about who spends more money on steaks..

Not surprised. I was thinking he was one of the coaches who had their contract expire already or soon. Is that right?

I wouldn't mind seeing Vernon Hargreaves Sr as our ILB Coach, he has a wealth of experience in the Southeast. He has produced lots of good LBs.

My only concern with him would be recruiting but he might be similar to what Sherrer was as a recruiter.

Other names that come to mind....

Raymond Woodie (FSU)
Kevin Simon (VFL/Grad.Asst)
Jeff Coons (Ole Miss)

I'm only mentioning names I think are feasible. I would love to see us swing big and go after some elite program guys but don't see it..

What about possibly hiring former ND OC Chip Long as Tight Ends coach, then making Niedermeyer ST/LB? In 2016, Niedermeyer was a defensive graduate assistant, specializing in linebackers under Pruitt, Alabama’s defensive coordinator at the time.

Jerrod Mayo all the way. Responsible fo Too'Too
That was Kevin Simon who’s part of the ā€œoff the fieldā€ staff at UT and fellow De La Salle alum. Mayo had nothing to do with Henry, he’s a defensive coach/DC for the Patriots.

I think we have at least 1 more coach leave. I'll be curious to see how Pruitt approaches the openings. Does he stay in his circle and hire friends? Does he go for the best coach available or does he place a heavy emphasis on recruiting?

Colton Jumper would be my choice.
Sorry NOT a Colton Jumper fan. Thought he was the worst LB in the history of Tennessee Football. Before you bring up his number of total tackles don't ! How about the total number of his miss tackles or tackles 20 yards passed the line of scrimmage ? I was so glad when he left school. Ok rant over.

#1 I thought this was about a LB coach, not who we want to start over Henry T?
#2 I was JK
#3 calm down bro he's been gone a few years now haha
