I'm sure it is happening here also, and a lot of people are contributing voluntarily (Alexa, Google Home, etc.), but at least there is a sense that it is wrong in the US. In China, it's just what they do.

The thought occurred to me watching that documentary. Hernandez played with the two most choirboy-ish QB’s (off the field) in the history of football; Tebow and Brady. Yet, neither of them had one ounce of positive influence on him. What human being in his right mind couldn’t at least glean a little goodness from those two?

Those excavators would be loading dirt into dump trucks/off road trucks or more likely they’d be moving that dirt with scrapers and/or tractor and pans.

Really stupid video.

Also 0% chance they build a real true hospital (like what we have) in 10 days.

Relatedly, I’m about to start using Bluetooth readers in my traffic signals. It will identify major traffic movements to help me better coordinate and time signals. And it doesn’t just use the Bluetooth in your phone. It can read your tire pressure monitoring systems or anything else in your car. It only collects part of your unique Bluetooth code and tracks it through the system and then flushes the code after it turns you into just a car driving down the road. Neat stuff and I can’t wait to use it. But I’m not going to be the first. It’s getting deployed all over the state and is already in many cities. So here’s two examples of technology that can actually be used for good and not be just out to watch people. That is, unless you’re breaking the law.

China supposedly set the record for hospital construction - 7 days - during the Sars outbreak. Thought I would check out that construction for reference. Typed in the exact name to avoid confusion "Xiaotangshan Hospital in Beijing".
Can't miss with that level of specificity, right? Alas, Google decides "silly human, the current construction is all the rage, here is the footage you will view, regardless of what you think you want".
