Why do they need another utility guy?

Because Holt would be a good player to platoon with Camargo at 3B until Riley is ready and even then he can give some of our regulars some days off here and there because he has played every position but pitcher and catcher in his MLB career. We also don’t know how Charlie will react after his very serious injury but even then Holt is a perfect fit and you’d think he wouldn’t cost all that much to sign.

I love Maddux but it was absolute BS that he couldn't figure out a way to live with Lopez in the playoffs. And a big FU to Bobby Cox too for letting it happen.

I’ll never forget playing the Marlins in the NLCS and loading the bases and pinch hitting for Eddie Perez in the 1st inning.

Bobby was your quintessential "player's manager," which is meant as a compliment, but is also a nice way of saying "he lets some players do whatever the hell they want."

What he was good at was picking his spots. The players knew that Bobby wasn’t going to have a bunch of nitpicky rules, but when he did say something, he meant it.
