2020 Presidential Race

Apologies for the delay, I'm getting roasted on Reddit right now. I don't expect anything from him. Just would be nice if there was some pointing out of the hypocrisy of Trump on this board from his more ardent supporters without resorting to Muh Hillary and Muh Obama arguments. As Mercy said, way too much to ask I suppose.
Anyways, I'm back to Reddit to get roasted by some Bernie Bros some more.
How many on here have not said they are all lying , hypocrite , politicians ? When people do say it , we get the ol’ yeah but ... continuum response .
This was kind of my point. I don't see anyone who have defended Trump on it. Seems a needless trip jousting windmills to me.

People give Luther a hard time, but there is truth in what he says. Some do lie more than others.

Luther is incredibly soft-reasoned, with no platform to moralize. He's on record saying that it's not immoral to lie. It's merely immoral to lie for reasons that he doesn't agree with. He's a defender of Machiavellian, "end justifies the means" ethics.

His continuum rationale falls apart at that point. At the end of the day, it's literally not about lying, or even how often they do so. It's about whether the object of Luther's judgment is useful to his ideals. That's why Luther bases his ethics of "despicable" as opposed to "moral". He couches his comments as though they are classical moral outrage, but does little more than describe his feelz.

His morality is supposedly socially-defined, yet he's working hard to unseat the President that American society voted in, on the basis of moral outrage. His morality is socially defined, yet he's stoking the social revolution to change socially accepted morality--though doing so would be inherently immoral.

You would be well served to critically analyze the arguments you're supporting. You don't want other people's chin drool on you. It's gross.

Tulsi supports Medicare for All. Still not sure why you all keep supporting her. Whatever, go for it.
I understand that (have even pointed it out on here before along with her gun stance) and am not supporting her. My statement is that she's the best chance of the left. If Pete's the nominee he's going to be jealous of Mondale's numbers

Pete is different. I wouldn't be spending most of my off time campaigning for him if I didn't think he was the guy. He's the guy.
For what exactly?

I will give you some credit, you have picked a candidate and rolled with that person. That's more that can be said about the other socialists and "libertarians" here

Saw a report on Fox last night that barry doesn't think crazy bernie is fit for office (kinda funny because I thought the same thing about barry) But this will get interesting if barry comes out and starts bashing crazy bernie.

It was a little off, I was in a rush.
I'll try another one.
You and your date are going to a movie. You agree to each pick one and then you are going to let her decide between the two.
You pick Knives Out and she picks Like a Boss.
You discuss each. You tell her that your choice has great reviews, you know a lot of people who have seen it and loved it, that you're pretty sure that she will love it. She says her movie looks funny and she likes one of the actresses. You inform her that the reviews were horrible for her movie and that everyone you know that has seen it has hated it.
She picks Like a Boss anyway.
You both hate the movie.
On the way home she complains that it's your fault because if you would have picked a better choice for her to choose from, she never would have picked such a horrible movie. You remind her that she picked that movie to put up as one of the two choices in the first place. She says, yea, and I still picked it, what does that say about your choice?

If Pete is the nominee, Trump gets a big percentage of the black vote. That is, of the ones who will actually go vote. Most will stay at home.

I admire your passion for the guy but he doesn’t have a shot. If he wasn’t gay he’d already be out of the race.
He would have dropped out before Swalwell. Or, maybe he would have made it as far as all the other 37 year old mayors of small towns have done recently.

I agree with your first statement but for the life of me I can't reconcile it with the election of Trump.
Jmo but the Dems should be running away with this. Like 75%. But they literally can't get out of their own way. I am not talking about the infighting, but the lack of direction.

I think there is a good number (million plus) of people who dont like Trump will vote for him because he is the devil they know.

I get what you are saying. Pete is different.
Based on? Whether you agree or not there is enough junk out there about his mayorship to scale some level attention. Yeah it's not bernie/biden/warren big. But he wasnt on that stage to make it a fair comparison.

Lmao, no. They have to dumb down his briefings so he can understand them. He's an idiot with a narcissistic personality disorder.
Aka "presidential prerequisites"

Bush couldnt even put complete sentences together. Obama refused to listen to reports he didnt like.

Is that because warren is there default fall back candidate if Bernie gets screwed again ?
Could be. But only if bernie goes establishment again.

If he doesnt endorse a candidate , or is the candidate, the Ds are toast. I am seriously thinking he is difference of about 3-5 million votes.

Now I am not sure about the anti Bernie crowd and what they might represent. But bernie has the most hard core support out there. And it's from the growing aspect of the party. Young people wanting more free stuff.

I'm not ready to rule Bloomberg out, if they go to a brokered convention.
I think they finally changed their rules on the convention right? Like the delegates cant choose whoever anymore. Not sure if they want to go thru that again. It pissed off a lot before.

The repubs should be running away with this. Can you imagine if they had a candidate that supported Trump's policies but was not horrendously despicable? They would get millions of people who don't really like the dems' policies but just can't stomach voting for Trump.

I dont think many of Trumps policies are actually that popular. He has some winners, but many would have this board up in arms if it was a Dem or one of their RINOs doing it
