You've wasted so much time defending a player that has never ever shown the ability to be a winning QB while here.

148 yards per game.
1.2 tds a game
He averaged his most passing yards per game THIS season for his career and he ranked 83rd.. in the WHOLE NCAA.

The other guy’s have more upside because they are younger and have shown they have more potential even if is in spurts. JG is entering his 5th year in the program and looked as bad in the last two games or perhaps worse than what he did as a redshirt freshman. I just do not understand how you continue to defend the indefensible. You are stubborn and simple minded to a fault and it has damaged forever your credibility on VN.

All while playing part time and with a broken hand for most of it.

Did not play a whole game in about a third of the Games" you list. Your per game stats are irrelevant.

We won 8 games. He is a winning qb.

If they showed more upside they would have took the job.

They didn't because they are worse with less upside.

Bailey may change that. The guys backing up last year aren't as good as JG.

JG was a million times better as a freshman and showed way more upside than BM ever did as a freshman. He was much better last year too.

I'm good. Every qb I have backed has been the best option. Even when popular opinion was different I picked the winner of the battle each time. I have proven I know what I'm talking about. Some of you just aren't smart enough to follow along and catch up with my thoughts way later.

Maurer’s chance was negated by the head injury right at the most inopportune time. Both Maurer and Shrout if given as long of a leash as JG was may have proven they were at least a better option than JG. Again we are talking a low threshold here with JG’s play. We will know more this spring.

Sol predictable. When the D essentially won the MSU game... you said JG won it. When it is something negative then it is someone else's fault or a "team" failure. You are a fundamentally dishonest person. The kind version is that you are self-deceived. But you could just be dishonest.

No. But better QB's lead worse O's to score more points every single year. UT had a good OL this year and especially in pass protection. They had very good receivers. The Vols had serviceable RB's and a sorely underutilized NFL caliber TE. The missing piece? A QB who made timely, good decisions giving others opportunities to make plays.

What games were the two red zone interceptions you spoke off. The head injury occurred in the Georgia game if memory serves me right.

JG is one of the biggest QB busts that I can remember in recent years. Good kid..he just isn't cut out of college ball.

I'll say this..if UT had an elite rushing attack JG would probably ok with his below average QB abilities.

Surely you're smart enough to know what our overall team talent was in '17 and '18 as well as who our OCs were for those 2 seasons. Only a dummy would think that QB play was our biggest deficiencies those years.

Teams would just stack the box and try to force JG to throw, even with with an elite RB. SEC defensive coordinators have enough film to know that JG needs 3 seconds bare minimum in order to throw to anyone besides his checkdown man at the LOS.

JG did not win the MSU game. The team did. He was a big factor. He was the qb with the most positive impact on the game. He made some big plays when needed.

Playcalling, run blocking, defense. Those cost us games. The qb did not cost us to lose any games this year.
