'20 TX RB Zachary Evans

True, true McGill. There is one advantage that uga may have, we or no other team can compete with. Someone smarter than me can answer this for certain, but my gut feel is uga could still choose to honor his December LOI and give him the scholly and my understanding is that no other school can put him on one for a certain amount of time. He might end up there just because he can get the full ride only there. Just a guess on my part though about honoring the LOI that they have released him from previously.

He cannot sign another LOI but He can sign a Financial Aid Agreement with any school and get his full ride.

We get a commit from this guy and it’ll be the aftermath of the Quavaris Crouch announcement for almost four months. 😣

Think he ends up at UGA...more games by rivals...eg Washington and Hardy to keep our coaches chasing players who have already signed

Meh will end up at UGA now if he is visiting them last weekend. This is just Kirby being Kirby.

“Not sure we want Quay Walker” “oh he may go to TN? Can’t have that alright we will take him”

“I don’t want to deal with Evans. Oh TN going after him? Don’t want to play him so just sign him and if he screws up then he transfers elsewhere”

The only issue with this thinking is that Evans asked out of his LOI that he sent to Georgia. Doubt this is an elaborate scheme. If UGA lands him, it's because the kid reconsidered and commits to them again. The problem is whoever gets him has to hold their breath until he enrolls in school.

i think you are dead on here... also reading how AV talks about kirby and thinks of him leads to kirby knowing Pruitt is on his heals and will do anything to keep us down...

No I think Nashvegas31 is saying that UGA may have not initially shown the "love" to him say as much as DW and now that kirby sees we may have a chance, they are going back and kissing his arse to win him over again... just so we won't get him...

Kirby is particularly slick with this. Not only what you mention “coaches needlessly chasing players,” but he also has recruits stringing other schools along with whom they have no intention of signing with. UF has been used in this regard a few times. A kid nobody in Gator Nation expects to sign, suddenly has a Florida/Georgia/other hat in front of them on commitment or signing day. So UF fans are like “he committed to UGa over Florida? We didn’t even know we were a possibility with him.” Not sure if UT has been used like that but I suppose it’s a pretty slick move by Kirby, although a little disingenuous. It puts out the impression that other schools are losing battles v UGA, even though the other teams may have stopped recruiting that prospect long ago.

Regarding Evans, I’m not even really certain how Florida started getting mentioned with Evans other than he apparently scheduled a visit for 1/31. So that leaked out, and while most thought he was always a long shot, I guess the idea of a visit meant that there was a small chance. So with that visit apparently canceled, the chances went from slim to none.

So it looks like Georgia is highly likely, with whomever he visits between now and signing day also being in the mix. Kid looks like a stud so someone will be getting a good one.

So why did UGA kick him out of the class and take away his nli?

Will he just sign another nli on NSD?

Is HB an early enrollee?

Thanks,
Scrolls Mcgee
