If I Were Mike Hamilton...

Maybe its just the hangover effect from the Raiders fallout, but I don't have a good feeling about Kiffin. I just want an intense head coach. I've posted this before but if you watch Florida and Alabama their players are focused. They are an extension of their head coaches who won't tolerate anything less.
Hamilton just has to figure out which candidate has that quality.

Kiffen is by no means a passive coach.

Did you watch the UGA/Fla game? Its the Veer offense BUT Meyer has the fastest players ever to run that type of offense. And he runs it from the shotgun formation that spreads you out.

I went to the UT game and saw little of the Fla-Ga game, but I have seen a lot of Florida games the past 3.5 years, and they don't run the triple option that Johnson ran at Navy and now GT.

The guy saying Florida runs the same offense as Georgia Tech from the shotgun is really cracking me up.

Tebow and Harvin could make anyone look like a great coach!

Patterson!

It would be nice to have an aggressive attacking defense.

You know, where the safeties don't line up 25 yards behind the line of scrimmage.

Sorry, I didn't mean to say Kiffin was passive. I just don't have a good feeling about him in general. It might not be the right term but he has too much "baggage".
The intense comment was just what I think should be a main attribute of our next coach.

i think davis stays right where he is. he is no dummy and he knows it is far easier to win an acc title than an sec title. he has cash, he wants titles i would think.

No kidding. Paul Johnson runs an offense that is designed to give a team a chance to win with inferior talent. I'm surprised GT hired him. They are looking good now, but I doubt they will successfully recruit many great players. The triple option isn't exactly the fast track to the NFL. I'm enjoying watching GT games but certainly don't want to see that offense at Tennessee.

Johnson and GT make a perfect fit!

There are a lot of great names but select a coach with inroads into a fertile recruiting area.

Looking at Patterson's record he hasn't won the conference since '05 and has a 6-6 season and a 5-6 season.
