Part of being a police officer is being able to read a situation and knowing when to let some things slide...it happens all the time in group celebrations, demonstrations, protests, etc.

Do you think he does that if the Saints had won the Super Bowl in that building? Not a chance and if he did the NFL would have his azz.

He should have just monitored the situation and made sure everyone was safe or stayed outside of the locker room in case he was needed.... instead he was completely tone-deaf and made local police look like a joke.

What did the security guard do that gave OBJ any sort of right/reason to put hands on him though?

Cause that's ultimately what it comes down regardless of the power tripping rent a cop harassing players or not, OBJ (obviously publicly intoxicated) put his hands on the man.
