Why is it funny? If anything, it would have been far more damaging because the left could have dwelled on every detail and subpoenaed Parnas. Though I can certainly see why the right wants to get this over with quickly, before more shoes drop.

I watched Parnas' interview with Maddow and have seen additional clips since then. His account is very credible and fits all of the facts we know from other sources. Trump's explanation does not match the evidence and shifts every time it is proven that the last thing he said is a lie.

This all begs the question: What kind of an idiot would ever believe Trump on this?

Doesn't necessarily equate. It's more indicative of Trump's lack of experience managing a multi-layered organization and selecting qualified appointees. His best selections were early in his administration and all of those guys are gone because it was such a sh** show. Pure ignorance for anyone to think he's an astute businessman, which is most of his proud supporters

Or it could be indicative that Trump came in to drain the swamp and went through swamp rat selections.

His administration has become much more of a swamp. That reasoning is pathetic and silly. He's got people working for him that couldn't qualify for a job of that magnitude anywhere else.

Eh... You're pretty liberal with the "indicative" "logic". You should just be honest with yourself and everyone else. Call a spade a spade. You don't like him. You filter everything through that. Don't try to put any other face on that post.

He doesn't "lack [...] experience managing an (sic) multi-layered organization". His Trump brand is a multi-layered organization. The mass exits and firings may indicate that he's over his head. It may also indicate that he's draining the swamp like he claimed he'd do.

You positing an ability to speak with authority on either one is toro caca. Just be honest that you dislike him and are talking out of your ... to express your dislike. (Speaking of pathetic and silly...)

Did Trump illegally withhold aid to Puerto Rico, too? He certainly held it for months. Why aren't you guys all over that; are you admitting withholding aid is legal and at the president's discretion, or did you just not know about it because it wasn't part of the party line dictate? A heads up ... there was a quid pro quo with the money congress allocated to PR ... it had to do with forcing PR to get it's act under control so the money would be spent effectively. Money has the ability to do a lot of things: tariffs can make another country blink, the promise of aid can cause them to fix bad habits, and withholding can do the same. Anybody ever bother to check out whether funding for Ukraine was greased by dims with Biden intervention?

You know the kid's "job" was payoff to get old Joe to act as an unregistered lobbyist, don't you? Isn't that the simplest answer to the whole mess? Isn't there a saying about the simplest answer is generally the answer? Ask yourself why else a company would pay an inexperienced fool an exorbitant salary if not for connections.
